I have been doing almost all my wine shopping for the last 7-8 years at LB and have been rarely disappointed. I love the colorful descriptions and the "nerdy details" as I learn more about wine. Great finds are very reasonable prices.
Always well chosen wines that are often just offered by Last Bottle Wines, so LB has been a source of many wines that I have enjoyed immensely - and they are not available from any other source in the USA. I have introduced friends to Last Bottle, and they are always thankful and excited to see what the daily offer will be . . . a wide range of the world's wines that has expanded my vinous horizon - keep it up folks!
I've spent quite a bit of money on their wines but gave up. Don't bother. There's a reason they get these "deals." I'd say 90% are not worth the price. They basically sell wines that are "priced" at far more than their worth and claim this as selling point for a "discount". There's a reason for that. Most wines are underwhelming.
I ordered wine on 6/1 (W3484919) and confirmation showed ship to my PO box. I tried calling and was told to email to the help address which went to Firefox and crashed my computer. Phone message said answer box full so there is no way I can correct shipment to my house address. Also, was told shipping free on 6 or more bottles, but was charged anyway. Need to organize your order process.
Good works deserves good recommendation, I appreciate the effort of Mr Ethan Payne for helping me work from home. Profits been made weekly as he promised, i invested $700 and now making $3,200 weekly, All thanks to him and his team. I have been ordering from Last Bottle Wines since 2017. I love being able to try wines I otherwise wouldn't. I have never had an issue with ordering, shipping, or quality.
I actually like Last Bottle quite a bit and have gotten some excellent wines at great prices. There are a couple of “Howevers” though. 1) Every wine every day is written up as a must have, greatest thing you will ever taste, “BOOM rock and roll, crawl and do hand flips to your computer to buy”. Which is unfortunate because some are really just “Meh”. Now, before I buy anything, read reviews and tasting notes on other websites. Sometime I will go back and buy, but often the real reviews do not reflect the write up by last bottle folks. Their exuberance for selling seems to outweigh a completely forthright disposition/description of the wine being sold from time to time. 2). While at times they offer truly excellent wines, other times it is all too obvious they are trying to clear stock. Today’s offering is one of the latter and prompted me to write this review. Today they offered (again) the 2013 Acha Pinot. We bought a few bottles a while back (unfortunately purchased without doing my homework on the wine) and found it to be undrinkable. Each bottle was opened and tried and dumped down the sink. Looking at other websites/reviews, this seems to be common for this Acha, which should prompt the folks at Last Bottle to eat this one and accept their losses instead of BOOMing and rocking and rolling about how great a truly terrible/majority corked wine is. 3). Email communication is just bizarre. I have written a few times and gotten immediate replies (usually when I am inquiring to buy something) but crickets when there is a problem. Eventually they always write back and I chalk up the delays to the fact that they are no longer a small local business but instead a massive wine seller at this point. I don’t really care that much about email or shipping timing, as eventually everything arrives, but I realize some people might. Hopefully this review helps. Do your homework before you buy because some of these wines are not nearly as good as they claim them to be, be patient when shipping is slow or email replies are even slower, and in the end enjoy what is mostly a great company with usually great product.
Ordered during the Marathon sale in December, finally received shipment, 9.5 weeks later. Can't imagine what could possibly take so long. Either don't do the sale if you can't ship in a timely manner, or hire some help to get it done. Period. Not to mention, other retailers I have ordered from online, and I have ordered quite a bit, tend to watch the weather for acceptable shipping conditions. Last Bottle just shipped me wine on literally the coldest week we've had all winter, I'm talking -10 to -15. Great. Since I won't be enjoying the wine for possibly years, as I tend to buy and lay down, I'll won't know how that affected the wine, but I'll take a guess...
1st time ordering with last bottle, and probably my last. Ordered during the Marathon so I understand shipments take a while. It has been 10 weeks. I'll say that again, 10 weeks. I literally have received orders of tea from CHINA that did not take as long, seriously. Anyway, still waiting on order and emailed about shipment. They said they were waiting for the wine to arrive from another warehouse...uhhh why not just ship it from that warehouse. I get it, I'm not a big customer...yet, and now probably won't be. I have ordered over 100 bottles from another online wine distributor in 2021, Wine Access, and have had nothing but FANTASTIC results. Last Bottle should take note. Will update review if needed.
