Always a great time at Empress M and karaoke is so much fun! I could eat their dumplings all day long!

Good food, service in a very nice location, with great outdoor seating.

Service was amazing and out of this world!!!! Kind and attentive! Sadly the food was a bit lackluster. We focused mostly on Dim Sun plates and as someone who frequents SF dim sum often this flavor left a lot to be desired.

Our server Lauren was very good. We ate outside and patio looked thrown together. Food was good ( probably 6th visits) Cool bar but not on karaoke night unless it’s your jam.

Very good food and service. Sat outside and it needs a bit of upgrade in the ambience. Service was great but there seemed to be a system issue. Plates going to the wrong tables or orders mishandled. It was not a damper on the evening but I’m sure the restaurant would like to put their best foot forward so maybe this feed back can help.

This is the best addition to Napa Chinese dining in the 25 years we have been here. Excellent dim sum of all sorts and a very good Peking Duck. The rest of the dishes are authentic with a variety of different flavors. Nice to try. The servers are nice and learning - they do a good job of making you fell welcome. Just need some polish. Good drinks from the bar. We recommend Empress M for lunch or dinner.

Wow. This place is amazing. Get the bao. That is all.

We had lunch with friends who had been here and loved it. We were excited to have a good Chinese food restaurant in Napa County. The menu is good and easy to understand. The dishes are described well. Service was an issue from the start. When i said I wanted hot tea the server poured me some from my friends small pot, without asking her. The real issue was the loose tea leaves. There was at least 1/2 cup of tea leaves in the bottom of a small, single serving pot. There was no strainer at all, and I ended up with my tea cup partly filled with tea leaves. Not just a few, the kind tea leave readers come and cast your fortune with, but over an inch of soggy tea leaves in a small tea cup, and no way to drink tea without getting a mouthful of tea leaves. When I asked for a strainer the server shrugged her shoulders. When I asked for more tea she merely put hot water into the small pot my friend and I were sharing. The food service was no better. Dishes came out at random, no matter if we weren't done eating and there was no room on the table. The shrimp dumplings were delicious. The soup dumplings were not. There was no liquid in them and they were not served with a spoon (which makes sense, since there was no soup in them). Disappointing. The egg plant tasted very good, although the skin was very tough. The broccoli was served with long 8 inch thick stalks, and was underdone to the point of being very tough. We asked for a knife just to be able to eat them. The wood ear mushroom salad was very tasty. The crunchy walnut shrimp were good, as was the beef and noodles. I really wanted to love this place, but I am still going to have to drive to the San Francisco or Oakland to get great Chinese food.

My husband and I are Chinese food lovers and are on a mission to find the best Chinese food within our driving range. This was our first time at Empress M. The service was very good and the menu quite interesting. We started with the spring rolls and were disappointed that the wrapping was thick and the filling was much too skimpy. We were concerned with the rest of the entrees but were pleasantly surprised with the coconut shrimp with the amazing honey sauce. Next was the Beef Chow fun which was very good and a very generous portion. We finished with the Sea Bass main dish. it was a generous portion, and tasted OK but not convinced it wasn't frozen for a while since the texture was not good. We had cocktails which were ok, but kind of pricey. For this dinner our tab was $160.

Been many times but disappointed this time. Soggy potstickers, flavorless chendu eggplant and Dan Dan noodles Bland bland bland.
