This is a hidden gem in an area filled with chain options. A small, cozy atmosphere and the delicious smells from the kitchen made this a delightful break from the ordinary. My Quiche Loraine was filling and the chef's potatoes were seasoned to perfection.I came with my aunt who lives in the area and had no idea that the cafe existed. Her seafood salad looked amazing and she did say that the shrimp and salad were better than expected.Although we did not hit the pastries, I will definitely fit that into my visit. Everything looked amazing: muffins and croissants prepared from scratch. Please support your local family businesses - Especially The French Skillet Cafe and its welcoming ambiance and mouth-watering options. And did I mention the great service?? ❤️

Great experience, the service was excellent and the food was delicious very happy we stopped at this place, we will definitely come back.

The homemade chicken noodle soup was delicious.

The most memorable thing about this place was the wait. I waited over 20 minutes with half full capacity.Food was not bad but I could tell the hollandaise sauce was not freshly made. I asked the server (as she was spraying the table just adjacent to me while I was still eating) if she knew that the cook makes the hollandaise fresh per order. She said something like, 'oh, I know they make it in house. I don't think they make it for every order but.... it's not like packaged or anything. ' And bingo... you would think a server working at a breakfast place that specializes in hollandaise sauce would know that hollandaise must be made fresh or else the sauce will break. The only way you can make a giant container of it would be.... wait for it.... if it was packaged. The reason I asked is because it took over 20 minutes to serve. This would make sense that it was freshly made but the flavor and texture told me otherwise. It would seem like the cook is taking long on purpose to make it appear like it was fresh but yikes... the proof is in the pudding. I really wasn't expecting it to be fresh but if you are going to serve packages hollandaise at least give the patron the benefit of it being served quickly. Don't lie....geesh. Like I said, I wasn't really expecting it to be fresh and it really wasn't that bad but nothing tastes worse than lies and deceit.I almost forgot.... the steak. I ordered it medium and it came out well done and a little chewy. Did not taste like quality meat.On a side note, reading the other reviews makes me think that either people don't have good taste and don't know what's good or they are just trying to pump up their reaction to make this place sound better than it is. I think Google needs to start highlighting top reviewers more so you can see the real reviews... it's becoming an issue lately.

It's 3.75 for a coffee they don't refill. My son's grilled cheese was inedible, he had one bite and couldn't eat it. My croque madame was good. Customer service is non-existence after you've ordered. So you tip on how the order taking goes, and then they never come by to refill water or coffee. There's better restaurants out there, especially if you want a full restaurant experience. Was so disappointed after all the other great reviews.

I ordered the all American breakfast it was Luke warm and cold and the bacon had no flavor my wife ordered the French dip French fries were cold and Soggy ask for a Diet Coke to go but she never showed up never came back to ask us if we wanted refills or if we are okay or how our meal was. went to the counter to get our soda to go but she was folding napkins, so we just left. what a joke!!!!....a wast of 46 buck... I will never go back!!!! i will be surprised if this place lasts!!!!

I’ve been wanting to try the French Skillet Cafe since we moved into the neighborhood in June. I had heard very good things about it. My husband and I went for breakfast and from the moment we entered it was one disappointment after another. First, none of the staff were masked. The place was a mess. Every table that not have people at it was dirty with dishes and food, except one. The man who took our order seemed angry. Not a greeting or a smile did he have for us. He seemed annoyed when it took my husband about 30 seconds to place his order. He didn’t look at me as he said they only had one clean table. I told him we didn’t mind waiting for them to clean one off because it was directly in front of the door. This day was damp and rainy. The woman that worked there overheard me and cleaned off a booth for us. We both ordered Eggs Benedict. The food was bland. Nothing was seasoned. I was also expecting that their would be crepes on the menu due to the name. This food is not French and did not offer anything special. If we had been treated better or the food was better they definitely would have gotten a better rating. Glad we came by ourselves and did not bring any guests.

Great little french cafe with an unassuming exterior. You could easily drive by it but definitely worth stopping for. Service was very fast, portions are perfect and taste great. Food is traditional french and reasonably priced.

Loved this little place. I had the Steak Benedict and it was delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked (medium rare, as it should be). The hollandaise sauce was especially nice.

I love the food at this place.
