The environment is really nice, especially the outside seating next to the tree. I'd say it's best to go at night when their tree is lit up as well. Even though the surroundings are aesthetically pleasing, it did not please me in other aspects of my experience there.I was pretty thirsty when I arrived and I was provided room temperature water on a 90+ degree day, I was not pleased with that. The only seats available were outside on a tall table that weren't very much space and a metal stool which wasn't comfortable. I left there with my butt flatter than ever. The menu was small too.The Euro fries were decent, crunchy and flavorful, but my local Greek spot would be my preferred go to. I ordered a soda and got mine in a small cup so I had to ask for a refill 3 times (annoying), please note that I'm not much of a soda drinker either. I had the mushroom pasta entree which was actually really good, pasta was tender and the mushroom flavor overtook the entire dish, which I enjoyed. My wife got the barbacoa bowl which she said she really enjoyed.After a mediocre start and a delicious dinner, our paycheck arrived at over 70 dollars which took the good flavors right out of mouth. Definitely way too expensive for a casual date night.

Little sister and I enjoyed some after lunch "snack" in this cozy place in downtown Murrieta. It's a perfect place for a date night or just hanging out with special people.... ❤Also, I wanted to give Eric the manager for providing exceptional service and making sure that the food is served fresh and timely! He even gave us a discount just cause!!! ???Very friendly staff. The venue is perfect too. It's a great place to visit when in downtown Murrieta! Food was great ordered The Breakfast Kobe Burger. Full of flavor if I have to pick it apart. I ordered it Medium would've liked it a little more pink . On a breakfast burger should swap the tomatoes for hasbrowns I took them out of mine. Fries were really good. The spicy ketchup was a nice upgrade . Definitely would return
I was not impressed at all with Downtown Public. My guest and I visited yesterday afternoon. The food was average at best. It seemed as if the staff did not want us there. For that reason alone I will not be back. Basic attention to detail was nonexistent. A simple request for cutlery and plates to share our appetizer is not too much to ask. We finished our entrees and the plates sat at the table for fifteen minutes with staff not acknowledging we completed our lunch. After the dishes were cleared my guest and I sat awaiting the waitress to offer coffee and dessert or even a check. I understand this is a basic restaraunt at best but basic hospitality goes a long way. Absolutely do not recommend Downtown Public.
Absolutely fantastic meal. Everyone working was masked, wiping down all services completely in between guests. The servers were nice and prompt. Highly recommend.
