First time trying this place and loved it! One thing we didn’t realize is that there is no indoor/outdoor dining. They only accept to go orders online through your phone. Mango lassi was great and not overly sweetened. We tried the chicken tikka masala thali and loved the chicken tikka - tangy, saucy, chicken is not overly smoky. Naan is okay. We ordered the masala fries too bc we were curious and were pleasantly surprised that they are very nicely seasoned although it seemed like they had been refried and were oily. We have tried Pakwan Bay Area too and prefer this slightly more.

I am a long-standing customer at Zareen’s Mountain View and Palo Alto branch. I love the food there and keep going back for more. Today I dined at the Redwood City restaurant for the first time. Inside decor was really cool. Very clean restaurant with plenty outdoor seating. The reason I took off stars - I had ordered my usual chicken boti sizzler that I have been eating from few years now, it’s their signature dish. However, today it had multiple issues. It was extremely salty. It was that salty that tongue felt burnt towards the end. I am still gulping tons of water to kick off that extra sodium. Also, as it was a sizzler, it came on the hot plate. It was that hot that it kept sizzling for the next 5 mins. It looked cool to other costumers sitting nearby, but for us - we started coughing, it smoked for too long. When that got over, we realized with so much heat the chicken got over cooked. In fact the layer of chicken and onions below was completely burnt and had to be discarded. I would say - please serve the regular food - it got spoiled by adding extra gimmicks. Parantha was as usual great, super oily but great. This review was specific to Redwood City branch. I will keep going to Mountain view and Palo Alto ones. 5 starts for them!

Best butter chicken, and samosas. Suggestion is to have all of it hot! It’s a Michelin rated restaurant!

We had Dal Lentil and Paneer Tikka Masala bowl. Both were just fantastic. For a side we ordered a Naan and Masala Fries too. All in all, everything was good.Don’t miss their hot chai before you leave though.Definitely recommended ✅

Unprofessional and dirty workers, the Bryani dish was extremely greasy, and awful, the masala tea was not hot and served cold and awful. Waste of time and money, not recommended at all,Here the the photos and found hair in the meal, its disgusting and frustrating

My wife and I have been coming here for several years and, in that time, have never been disappointed. Occasionally we branch out and try something different, but we always go back to their delicious tikka masala. The chicken is cooked to perfection, the sauce is to die for, and the samosas are excellent!Without question, one of our favorite restaurants!

Have enjoyed most of the dishes that I have ordered. In particular, I love the Karachi haleem (chicken). They do a really good job with this dish which can't be found at most restaurants. Also, love their shami kebabs, halwa (only available at the Redwood City location) and mango shake. The RWC place has plenty of seating inside and outside and is their newest location. Prefer this location over Palo Alto and Mt. View. The Mt. View location is best for pick-up orders since there are only a couple of small round tables outside for one to sit and eat. Loved their sizzler plate as well. Didn't care for their student biryani, though. The staff are courteous in all locations.

I am a regular for Sunday Nihari at Zareens. And this time it was such a huge disappointment. The amount of meat was so scanty. This happened 2 weeks back as well so last week I mentioned it to them while ordering and they fixed it. This week I didn’t mention them, and again this has happened. Will I always have to make special mentions about keeping up with the quality?Palo Alto branch has great standards but this Mountain View branch is below par. ?

Brilliant food. Take out only currently but there is space outside with chairs and tables where people can sit down and eat. Use the app to place the order as you will have to do that anyways when you get to the restaurant. Please treat this as a COVID review. Things could change post COVID.

I've had better! Ordered the meal and the dal portion was laughable. Seemed like it was a dipping sauce. The lamb curry was average. The palak panner's paneer was hard and suspiciously not white(?). I was surprised with it's rating because there are definitely better indian restaurants in the neighborhood.
