Found this restaurant while looking for warm sandwiches on maps. Drove down here for a weekend lunch. We had the mumbai sandwich, mumbai aloo frankie, aamras, vadapav. The food was served within 10 minutes. The Sandwich tasted good. The veggies were crunchy, the aloo tasted great, the sauce was nice as well. The Sandwich was warm and it felt fresh. The aloo frankie was extremely hot to even touch or take a bit or enjoy. Not sure if they have any temperature control. When you are super hungry and you have to wait for your food for 20 mins to get it eatable in its form, it is not a good experience. It felt like it has a pre made Frankie and is over heated in a microwave. The aloo inside felt like slightly burnt mashed potatoes tossed with a few chopped onions and masalas. The aamras was vold and refreshing with medium sweetness and thick. That was the saving grace while taking bite of the hot frankie!!The vada pav was ok as well. It came with 3 chutneys and a green chilli.

It’s a nice place to try great wada paavs. Wadas are on spicier side but overall taste fresh and delicious. They also have other Maharashtrian food items such as Kothimbir vadi and Kokum sarbat. Kothimbir vadi isn’t really available at most of the places, so it was a pleasant surprise. It’s not as good as homemade, it’s rather in the form of dense squares that gets little oily. The tiny yogurt dip that comes with it was rather yogurt water, we had to request for real yogurt, that we got. Kokam sarbat was another surprising item, however it was too salty. They might need to reduce the salt quantity or offer salt separately based on customers’ taste. I still give them high stars because of 2 reasons. 1. Customer service is great. Gentleman on the counter named “Alex” was really kind and polite to us. We sat in the restaurant for hours and he made sure we had everything we need. 2. Irrespective of small hiccups, food is delicious. Be it kadahi paneer and thetcha or their signature wada paav. This place is at walking distance from Castro street (Mountain View downtown). This place is located in a complex and has ample designated parking.

Authentic chaat items. We ordered the Vada Pav, Paneer Tikka Frankie and some Pav Bhaji . Everything was delicious and tasted great! We ordered the dishes again to-go to pass them to our friends to try it. Highly recommend.

We have ordered vadapav, kothimbir Vadi, Samosa and dabeli today. Not happy with quality of food. Kothimbir Vadi is totally burnt, same with Samosa. Sharing pics with Thai review. Vadapav potato filling was stale. Not much taste.

Really some of the best Maharashtran food that I have had in the Bay Area. We ordered vada pav, misal pav, sabudhaana vada, kachi dabeli, pav bhaaji with amul cheese and gulpoli. The pav bhaji with amul cheese was simply delicious. It was rich spicy and well seasoned. The sabudhaana vada was the star of the show in my opinion. It was crispy outside and soft inside, well cooked and very well seasoned. The yoghurt dip along with it was delicious with a mix of tanginess from the yoghurt combined with a slight hint of sweetness. The misal pav and vada pav were mildly spiced and tasty. The dabeli filling was delicious and the chutney spread on the pav was really delicious. The addition of pomegranate seeds was a really nice touch. The service was slightly off. It took almost 15 minutes to get a glass of water. But overall it was a delicious experience.

Vada pav servers Mumbai street food. We really liked the kathi roll, it was flavorful and spicy. Vada pav was good too.

A very homely casual snack/lunch place in downtown Mountain View. I read somewhere the owner cooks a lot of the dishes. Everything is fresh and vegetarian.Liked the Kutchi Dabeli, which is spicy mashed potatoes in a bun and sprinkled with sev and the Bombay Frankie which was also spicy mashed potatoes with onions wrapped in a parantha. The vada pav was okay, though I wish they gave Atleast two in one plate. The sabudana vada was the star of the show - deep fried tapioca and potato fritters served with spicy yogurt. Strongly recommend. The kokum sherbet was ok, while the aam panna was more tasty.Service was friendly and quick.

I was unimpressed with the flavors. The paneer sandwich had way too much tumeric. The Bombay sandwich was alright but there's better options around for this. Ras Malai was decent.Paneer wrap also is much better at other places. My fav thing was sabudana patties. They were crispy and tasty but would probably not try this place again.

Went here on reading good reviews about the food here. We had placed an online order for mumbai sandwich, and after reaching for pickup, we decided to dine-in. Do not fall for the name “Mumbai sandwich”. The sandwich had stuffing of masala dosa (the yellow potato sabzi). This is not what one can expect in the name of Mumbai sandwich. It was not even cut into pieces. When we told the guy about the uncut sandwich, he said they don’t cut sandwich for takeouts and then just gave us disposable butter knife to cut (which was not possible). It felt awkward to eat it whole. Felt like we had ordered dosa masala sandwich.

Loved loved this place! I have been looking for authentic Frankie in Bay area for a really long time. This is it!! We tried the Paneer Tikka and the aalu and cheese Frankie. It was the best. Very filling! Great service. We wanted to try other things, we will be back again very soon.
