The staff didn't acknowledge us at all until I asked someone a question. They weren't rude, but not friendly either. Otherwise we had a good experience, and the food was really good.
Love The Melt! Ordered the melt burger, patty melt, and garlic fries. I added a fried egg to the burger and it was great. It was cooked perfectly and is a good sized burger, especially for the price. The patty melt was also super good with the caramelized onions and I like that it comes on French bread as I’m not much of a fan of rye bread. Will definitely be back for more and look forward to trying the other offerings at this Local Kitchens location!

I’ve been going to The Melt for years. Basically after I was weened, my dairy consumption came primarily in the form of cheese, specifically the Three Cheese Classic cheese blend warmed between two slices of perfectly griddle-toasted, crisp and fluffy bread from The Melt. There are many The Melt locations, after all what’s not to love about cheese and bread and hearty tomato soup? BUT THIS PARTICULAR LOCATION, the one at Local Kitchens in Mountain View has THE BEST GARLIC FRIES I have had from The Melt. Maybe the #bestieverhad#Drake2010 from anywhere outside a ballpark. I hope you come here. I hope you get served hot, fresh, garlicky fried potato strings, lovingly sprinkled with grated parmesan cheese. I hope you leave a great review like this and help the good people of Mountain View summit the true peak of the culinary Mountain that is The Melt.
I saw someone else order the three cheese classic last time I came in and knew it was definitely the next thing I had to try!Let me tell you it did not disappoint! the bread was fresh, the combo of cheeses was great, and the cheese pull was unreal *insert chefs kiss here*Staff was super nice and the pick up was easy!
What's a better comfort meal than Tomato Soup & Grilled Cheese? I don't know either. That's why The Melt is my go-to for this! The burgers are amazing too! I placed an order for pickup thru DoorDash and actually found that the Melt is located inside this place called Local Kitchens and they have other restaurants inside. Good food and good service every time!
Do you remember your 5th grade school lunch? Ya know, grilled cheese day? The bread that was kind of crusty and the cheese, so neon yellow and pasty?Welp, this is NOT that! Supreme grilled cheesiness! Loved The Melt when I lived in Berkeley and I love that Local Kitchens brings it closer to me! The garlic chicken bacon mac and cheese is MELT in your mouth goodness! Love the consistent quality and taste every time!11/10 would recommend!
Sometimes. Just sometimes (ok all the time). I get that late night craving and NOTHING in Mountain View is open after 9:30pm. Except The Melt at Local Kitchens. I got my usually Melt Burger ordered Via the Local Kitchens App (Pro Tip- Faster and Cheaper then any other platform). Craving satisfied even at 11:30pm.
