The setting, overlooking the Bay, is the highlight of Michael's. Do not come here for the food, which is below mediocre. I couldn't eat the very dry fried chicken sandwich. The accompanying fries were beyond awful. I couldn't help wondering how many times both the chicken & potatoes had been fried. The large salads had precut lettuce & veggies, but they, too, were poorly executed. Seemed like the type that's dumped out of a bag. The outside chairs & tables are covered w bird poop, A simple morning wipe off, followed by handing customers, upon picking up their food, plain white paper placemats would be an easy fix. I had eaten here several times pre pandemic, never enjoying the food, simply along for the company. Hoping things had changed since the 5 plus years since my last visit, I was again disappointed. I won't make this mistake again.
Burgers, salads and sandwiches with a beautiful outdoor setting. The location is ideal, set on Shoreline Park, right on the golf course. Have a nice lunch and a drink while you take in the beauty of your surroundings. Lots of natural California native plants line the edges of the course, while lines of golfers and Canadian geese walk past. I enjoyed a Chinese chicken salad which was very large and tasty. The onion rings were crisp and delicious. Vegetarian option galore.

Amazing classic breakfast at morning, excellent view. They recently renewed all the interiors, but keeping the kitchen with the same magic! I love this place.
Michael’s is a casual restaurant where you order at a counter and retrieve your food when your buzzer goes off. The sandwiches were very good but nothing extraordinary. Fries were good but potato salad was bad - tasted like it was straight from a grocery store tub. Overall, not a bad place to grab a quick lunch. Not sure if I would get dinner here, though.

My wife and I attended a Palo Alto Rotary banquet here with approximately 75 others. The food and service were great. No complaints. Ample parking and good views of the mountains and SF Bay.

The view from the patio is hard to beat. Just beware of the birds if you decide to sit in the open.
Excellent pastrami sandwich, made to order, fast. Nice patio to enjoy eating on.
