Good food, lively atmosphere. Service was on point

Great food butter chicken was fantastic

The food was not good. Although the spread was nice but the taste was not good for both vegetarians and non vegetarians

We have been here several times, this time food was really disappointing, maybe they got a new chef. Quality seems to have taken a nosedive

We booked an early evening reservation here for dinner before a show at the Arts Center. Our service here was outstanding and the menu items were outstanding. We had a lovely dinner here and definitely plan to return. We enjoyed every dish that we ordered. Too many fantastic dishes to choose from. Our first time dining here. I am in a wheelchair and tables were easily accessible.

Great place to gather for family get together. We enjoyed our Father’s Day luncheon. The food was good. They accommodated a large crowd. Plenty of food to try one of the best Indian restaurants in the Bay Area

Their lunch buffet is awesome. It’s around 20 dollars on weekdays and includes at least 15 or so dishes. The meat dishes are halal and the buffet also includes great beverages like chhaans (spiced buttermilk) and chai. They also offer different types of naan. The buffet itself includes some really good dishes such as chicken tikka masala, garlic chicken, chicken roast and goat curry, chicken biryani, veg biryani, chholey, Daal tadka, pav bhaaji, chaat, paneer, veg kebabs, pakora, salads, mix veg and a lot of other dishes. The desserts were excellent too and included some delicious gulab jaamun, saffron kheer and halwa. This is a really good option and service is quick and friendly!

We didn’t have a good experience at Mantra. When we got there and mentioned that we have a reservation, they seemed oblivious to that and showed from a distance where we could sit. By the time we walked to that table, someone else was sitting there. Then we were asked to take the next table. There was so little space to walk between tables and it was a very cramped up space. The lunch buffet looked good but the food wasn’t warm. It was rather cold, especially the appetizers- veg and non-veg. It was also difficult to find a server to help us with breads. After scouting for a while, one came over and helped us. Next time someone else helped us. There was not that much rush but the server experience was extremely poor. The buffet was so not worth the money. The dessert got finished when it was our turn and we informed the server and waited for 10-15mins but no one seemed to work on it. We paid and left then. Also, no regard of the special occasion we had mentioned while reserving the table. It was our anniversary so this was even more disappointing to us.

It took a little longer to get set up apparently as we had arrived a little before 11:30 but they didn't open until 11:45 am...Service improved dramatically once we got seated and the staff started to get into the flow. They were clearly busy leading into the opening but it was well worth it as the food was excellent. The spice level was decent, given that they are trying to cater to a wide palate range, and the dishes were all cooked well. The naan was fresh and excellent, but don't forget to ask for the dosa!!Given the lack of good Indian buffets in the area, this restaurant is a solid choice!!

Very poor quality of food all dishes cold and were not made fresh seems to be left over from previous days Fruits were stale
