Lovely ALL VEGAN Chinese food spot run by a super cute older couple from Taiwan! They’re super friendly and have such an extensive menu! Food was really yummy, the chow fun was so chewy! Garden Fresh was a pleasant surprise of a vegan find in Mountain View!The food was delicious- I ordered the veggie beef with broccoli, as well as the general’s chicken. The texture and sauce of the chicken in particular was fantastic!I’d love to visit again to try the other items on the menu. Highly recommended!
From the super sweet owner to the amazing food - this place is my new favorite in Mountain View. I’ve been vegan for 4 years and always look for high quality vegan food. My wife and I have both loved every dish that we’ve ordered so far. I’ve made one mistake and ordered online from one of their copycats and will not repeat that again?I’m a loyal fan for good.
Authentic Buddhist Chinese food (vegan) that features faux meats made of gluten or togu skin, to deliver the look & (mouth)feel of the real thing. One of a very few fully vegan Chinese restaurants in the region. Well executed dishes, though sometimes the flavors can converge. Highly recommend Veggie Duck. Do not recommend Hong Kong Style Fried Noodles (go to a Cantonese restaurant for this!) Excellent for plant-based diets. Due to Omicron they're back to take-out only, though they accommodated us when we requested (and helped) to move a table outside.
First time here. Got soups and combination veggies to go. The food was awesome. The owner is such a wonderful lady. Why did it take me 18 years to come here?? Coming back very soon.
Amazing vegan food! One of the ladies brought us out some vegan cake as well, super sweet on Christmas Eve or anytime at all really. She needs a big raise. Thank you so much for being so kind! ❤️

I don’t even know where to begin. I have been going to garden fresh for many years with my boyfriend (non vegan), and it is by far the best vegan eatery in my opinon. The owner Alice is so very kind and goes out of her way to make sure her customers experience traditional Chinese cuisine with a Vegan twist. if there’s one thing you take away from this review it is that if you’re going to try out garden fresh make sure to head to the Mountain View location even if The Palo Alto location maybe closer you will be delighted with The impactful flavor and Home cook feel the restaurant instantly gives off. every time I make my way over I am greeted with a huge smile and loving energy, not only is the food so rich and decadent which i will get into with more details,the owner and chefs go out of their way to make you feel embraced and excited to eat your meal. My all-time favorite dish is the black pepper chicken because of its savory sauce which includes caramelized onions (my fav) as well as the string bean chicken because if it’s fresh flavor and rich spices. Garden fresh is special because of the perfect blend of veganism and traditional Chinese that everyone can enjoy vegan or not. I can go on for days talking about how much I love Alice and the amazing food that is served at garden fresh. [please go ahead and give it a try you WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED.]
