It's an American breakfast place and not very crowded on a weekday. The food is decent and I only tried the omelette. It's good but then it's not rocket science to make omelettes.
I thought I had posted pics and rave reviews about a year ago but couldn't find it, so am posting another one. Most recently picked up breakfast this past Monday.Packaging still on point. Poached egg in the paper cup. Extra bonus points for including decent napkins and utensils without having to ask.I really like that you can customize things, for example i wanted a poached egg, hash browns, and bacon so I ordered them as sides or a la carte. I never want toast or any type of bread, which is often included, so I love this option.Poached egg was a little hard, but I prefer that to so runny there is liquid yolk everywhere when you pick it up.Bacon is thick and chewy, kind of like ham.Hash brown was fluffy and soft and smelled a little like when my frozen oreida hash browns absorbed some smells. I prefer more crisp on the outside. But all in all, a quick convenient breakfast that I didn't have to make, checks boxes.Fyi, ketchup does have high fructose corn syrup. Not an issue for me other than extra garbage, since I don't use ketchup on my breakfast eggs, bacon or hash browns.
Staff is always SO friendly. Been coming for years and can't ever pass up the Funhouse Hangover. Perfect every time and 110% worth the ~$20.
Were there for Sunday breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere. I had the Mexican Sundae with Chorizo, food was good. Would love to go back and try other choices.
The chefs special skillet was...
Serves decent if not spectacular breakfast in clean surroundings. Portions are about average but on the pricey side compared to some other places. My meat lovers skillet was fine but on the small side compared to the rather high price. My wife’s country scramble was ok, gravy was good but biscuits were average. Service was a bit spotty as we had to flag down the server for more coffee and they neglected us a bit. PlCe was clean and pleasant with parking in the small lot.
Our go to breakfast spot in Mountain View! The #23 for Tess (2 humongous pancakes and 2 eggs any style (she goes over easy, in more ways than one!), and bacon, sausage or ham. I go for the Heuvos Rancheros with over-medium plus roasted red potatoes, and corn tortillas - yum! Add two lattes & great service - it's the best!
Great service and great food
Great quality, servers and ambience (we sat outside). We ordered omelette, french toast and eggs benedict. Everything was great, eggs benedict was ok (hence only 4 stars).
Came in here for breakfast while stuck in town trying to get home to Seattle. I absolutely love diner food and the french toast is my barometer for a good diner. I had a French Toast Slammer (eggs, bacon, and french toast) and it was fantastic. Thick cut french toast that was perfectly cooked, moist on the inside but still plenty of bite, crispy bacon, and perfectly cooked over easy eggs. Great diner coffee too and quick service right away in the morning. Server was attentive and the place was very clean with barriers up between booths and sanitizer when you walk in to the restaurant. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely come back!
