We've been eating here pretty consistently over the last few months and I can confidently say that Papa's is one of THE best diners in Morgan Hill. The food is consistently delicious and the staff is all wonderful (special shout outs to Sonya, Jamie, and Ray), even the cooks!Their Mexican breakfasts are awesome, *especially* the chiliquiles. I'm pretty sure the red sauce is made with roasted garlic, which really adds another level of depth to its flavor. 10/10 would recommend. Their pancakes are fluffy and moist, their eggs soft & buttery (even their omelettes!) The burgers are juicy and packed with fresh produce, the french fries are thick-cut, skin-on and always crispy. The potato salad is fit for any summer picnic. They also serve mimosas and we love the strawberry (made with fresh strawberries) and cranberry versions.
This place is great & offers more variety than just breakfast did. I got the chilaquiles and at first had to send them back for being cold but they redeemed themselves the second time around. They were so good I had to order another to go. Mimosas were great, no complaints there! Grapefruit, strawberry pineapple, and regular strawberry were all delicious and well made.
Walking down the main street in Morgan Hill, I one day decided to check out Papa's Place & am so glad I did!Thanks to my server, Sonia (who was wonderful by the way) recommended the chorizo scramble & so glad I listened because it was delicious!! There were several options as to how I wanted to have it whether with hash browns, country potatoes or refried beans but what I loved is I could get 2 half orders to equal my 1 selection so that is what you see in my pic. The other thing that I appreciated was it came with two types of salsa including a delicious avocado salsa...normally in other places I seem to get more of pico de gallo style so when I saw that as a selection is was such a pleasant surprise & made my dish even tastier!!I found out this used to be Just Breakfast until the new Owner, Brandi Zavaleta opened Papa's Place earlier this year. She also told me the touching story behind her new place & am so grateful she shared the meaning behind the name and why you may feel so much fatherly love when you enter...Brandi & her dad were going to run this together as a team when he suddenly passed only 2 months after they signed the lease...I myself lost my dad years ago unexpectedly so when I heard her story, I felt somehow our dads helped connect us so we could hear each other's story & more importantly introduce me to this great breakfast/lunch place right in the heart of Morgan Hill...now after reading this you hopefully you will also want to go & see why it is so perfectly called Papa's Place :)

Great coffee, food was good, young server did no pre-bussing which is OK if you like sitting with your dirty plates, young server could learn a few ...tips.... from his older more experienced cheerful servers, I will return
This was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. All ingredients were super fresh and it wasn't a greasy breakfast. Very flavorful and great service. Highly recommend!
