The restaurant had only about 4-5 tables to serve (plus a few to-go orders) and appeared to be properly staffed. However, our waitress with the missing eyebrows seemed to be ignoring us and overwhelmed "because it's so busy."It took like 20+ minutes for us to even get our drinks, then more time to order our food, and more time to get a lukewarm queso fundido.I asked for more salsa while we continued to wait and it never came.About 15-20 mins after last requesting the salsa, i finally approached her to remind her of the salsa and ask for an update on my food. She became highly offended that I interrupted her while she was cackling with another waitress that she said "if you can't wait then you can leave. You don't have to pay for anything. It's on the house."I offered to pay for what was already on my table (drinks, margaritas, appetizer) but she declined to take my money, therefore earning the 2 stars I'm rating them.It may not be the restaurant, but maybe just a problem with this waitress.Salsa is great!

Food was not enjoyable. Waitress had a rude attitude. They brought us the wrong food and tamarindo taste gross. There seafood was not good at all. Pricey not worth it

I have tried many items on the menu. Today I tried the Menudo. The Menudo has changed a few times over the years. This recipe is a nice dish. However, a bit salty for my taste and the tripe would be a bit more appealing if the cuts were smaller. I will mention my overall favorite is the Chili Relleno Zapata Lunch Special. This restaurant has history, it is clean throughout. The waitresses are pleasant as well. Overall, many appealing items on the menu and the portions exceed one’s appetite.

I gave them a try based on the good reviews they had. I ordered the Albondigas and when I picked it up the broth was filling the bag. None of the broth was in the container because they turned it sideways. I attempted to eat just the veggies and meatballs and it was so salty that it was inedible. Then I felt an odd texture when I bit into the meatballs. They were visibly raw inside. I wont ever be back.

Dude where do I start! The freakin salad I have no idea what type of ranch dressing they use but the taste is like no other, it is delicious!!!! The tamales are my fave! Everything is just so damn good! And the customer service is superb every time! I meant to leave a review long ago because they never fail me. I drove from Vegas to come enjoy this food so you know it’s good! They make everyone feel so welcomed! I love it here! ??‍♀️??‍♀️

We'd gone to the Veterans cemetery to visit my dad and we all decided to find somewhere to eat. My husband found this little place on Yelp and not was it GOOD! The waitresses were kind and helpful, even if they weren't serving our table, the food was fantastic!! Huge servings of wonderful carnitas, the beef cocido was casera (homestyle) and even the corn tortillas which were handmade, at least they looked and tasted handmade were wonderful! We live in Los Angeles county, and we'll probably travel back again to eat here! Omg, they had birria de chivo too! Eat here! You won't regret it!

First thing, a very warm and friendly welcome at the front door, followed by a very customer service oriented waitress. Ordered a plate of Birria (goat meat soup) served with homemade tortillas. Soup was very flavourful and tortillas just like mom used to make them. Prices were on the medium range, but very well Worth it. Definitely coming back.

Nasty! I ordered a carnitas burrito that was plain, my wife ordered the Chile Verde plate that tasted like heavy clove and Tomatillo but no chile. The prices are so out rages, all plates are $14 plus. The only plate that tasted good was the garden salad. Don't waste your money, Taco Bell is better!

This restaurant is actually I always get my menudo here. I love the fish I love the meals and everything about this place is excellent.
