My first time coming in here I was really craving some soul food and the lady that help me was really nice ? order myself one dinner plate just to try it out first me and my two daughters 8 years old and 9 months ate off my plate they LOVED it definitely was a hint ! Satisfied my craving Definitely coming back here tomorrow after school my daughters request ? so she can pick out her own plate this time and I can eat In peace ☮️
The food was delicious I had fried fish collard greens macaroni and cheese my daughter had fried chicken macaroni and cheese and yams the owner is very busy so for those who think she is mean that’s not the case when you’re a one woman show and you in there with all that heat I may not have the friendliest look either but in speaking with her she’s very pleasant and it’s understandable keep up the good work young lady

I wanted so badly to like this meal especially when I seen that it was a beautiful black family that owned the business. NOW IDK IF IT WAS AN OFF DAY IM GUESSING SO judging by the previous comments but my experience was quite different now the service was good the young man and woman that helped me both are very professional and kind very pleasant to be helped by! The cook seemed very agitated made a comment that I really felt was disrespectful. And unnecessary also the oxtails are under seasoned very greasy and a lot of fat. The rice was gummy as if it was over cooked. Greens are under seasoned the Mac and cheese tasted as if it wasn’t seasoned just had a lot of cheese nothing else. The yams were good the cornbread was good . $38 for 4 oxtails all of witch were mostly fat is crazy.
This is my second review but I forgot to take pictures before I start smacking it but KK definitely definitely brought some food love to Moreno Valley that was much-needed we have enough Spanish inspired restaurants we definitely needed A Taste of Soul the food is too damn good she just reminds me of your auntie that don't play that s*** LOL y'all go show KK some love
I cook myself for over 45 years, she has her own taste and seasoning. 5stars for us. Mac was super good greens were awesome and cornbread was killer. Chicken and pork chops off the chain.
I discovered them while in California 3/22/22 after having a bad experience at another local soul food place in the mall. I was skeptical at first but as soon as you hit the door the pleasant aroma of the food hits you. Their food is cooked fresh and made to order. Everything we ordered was delicious and the butter cake is to die for! Her staff was extremely busy but friendly. I definitely recommend them as a matter of fact I will be going back today 3/23/22.
The food is amazing the owner is so nice me and my husband go all the time always on point you will be missing out if you don't go by and give her an opportunity it's my Sunday go to Moreno valley best soul food everything on the menu was delicious
1st time EVER leaving a review!! 1st time going to KK's...I live out of town but used to live in Moreno Valley, so I wanted to find a place to eat that wasn't there before. I looked up it up and that's how I landed at KK's .Customer Service was Awesome! Yes the lady with the short hair was very polite asked us how our food was! Thanked us for coming in. The food off the chain. I had the pork chops, Mac n greens with the cornbread that I did eat and I usually don't. My friend had the baked chicken he loved it! We will be back! ??
Stopped in on Thursday. I don’t live in the area really wanted some soul food. The place looked like I could use an new look gave me old southern vibes. The lady with the purple hair was not very friendly and kind of was like what you want to order? I ordered two dinners, she said 30 minutes but I was quicker than that, when I tell you that they cornbread made me want to drive another 30 minutes to get more I am not lying the yams was so so so goods the greens were so delicious could use some meat, Mac & Cheese ?, gravy and rice yes lord and the fried pork chop on point and peach cobbler I am moving in her with that being said she can be mean as she want I am still coming and being a good little girl and wait will mama make my plate. Excellent will be back.Oh and the kool-aide I need a gallon. One women show you did that, I have seen business with a full staff not cook this good . Sorry no pictures we are it so fast I forgot.
