One of my personal favorites, you can't go wrong with the Hoggs default combo, the fries are so crispy and well seasoned, you have a variety of sauces to choose from, beers ? and of course their signature juicy burger. Love it here
Good barbque, we had the tri-tip plate with corn and potatoe salad and sweet potatoe fries. It was very good. Not amazing but, very very delicious. The staff was friendly and the food was plentiful. We had to take a to-go plate. The only reason that I give it a 4 is because it was so cold. But, I give the tri-tip a 5 and the sauces a 4 but, you really have to try this place....you will not be disappointed.
I ordered the 1/2 rib dinner along with dinner for my grands and daughter. The sauce was entirely to sweet, the meat did not taste as if it had been barbecued. The coleslaw was horrible my daughter threw her sweet potato fries away to have spent over 60 dollars for a meal that was originally quoted at 52 on the phone when my daughter ordered was embarrassing as I did not bring enough money with meI will not be going back again
My nephew actually told me about this place before the pandemic so we went and it was awesome! I just went recently and it still didn't disappoint. Matter a fact, I took a friend to experience its glory and she loved it. The BBQ is always on point and the customer service is always great! Still need to explore some other BBQ places in and around South Cali, but right now HOGGS is king! ??❤️?
2 women shared the sampler platter and 2 drinks for 40 bucks. We liked the chicken and ribs, Mac cheese and fried green beans. We ate everything and we're stuffed. Very good price for a genuine bbq spot?
I was in the mood for a pulled pork BBQ sandwich, and my husband suggested HOGGS!IM SOOOO GLAD HE DID!! MY CRAVINGS WERE DEFINITELY SATISFIED!! The BBQ sauces are SO GOOD!!! ??? I had to buy both BBQ sauces to bring home. 10/10 ?
Let me start by saying that the food was good. My problem was that when we got home we found they had not included the full rack of pork ribs that we paid for. It was completely missing. My wife called them and she had to drive all the way back and got the ribs. But what really bothered me was when I asked if they apologized. They did not. Even on the phone no one apologized. That was odd to me that no one apologized for the mistake. The kids were hungry, we went out and got food, the order was missing something and we all had to wait for my wife to return. They weren't rude or anything. It's just that if I was the employees I'd have been very sorry and expressed my gratitude for their patience because we messed up. Felt like no one cared. If u take care of your customers, they will take care of you. I didn't get that vibe from this place.
Thinnest Ribs in History:I honestly think they must be purchasing piglets, as these were the smallest and thinnest ribs I've ever seen. The layer of meat on top of the bone was as thin as a spoon (in the places it actually had meat). There was barely any meat in-between the ribs. A single rack of ribs should weigh between 3 to 5 pounds. The TWO full racks I ordered weighed just over 3 pounds, put together. There are two 4oz sides served with each full rack. I'm not sure who they are trying to serve, but 4oz is barely enough to serve 1 person. But the sides go along with the thinnest ribs in history, I guess.I guarantee I will never order or eat here again. And I will surely never recommend it to anyone.
My 1st time visiting. Had gotten the tri tip Philly cheese steak and it was great. The owner was there and was attentive to our needs. He was also very polite. My wife had the sampler as well, & she loved it. The place was very clean, and staff was great as well.
I loved the taste of Coca Cola, the macaroni and cheese, fries, and the house dressing. Front counter customer service was nice and friendly, the beverages were brought to our table. But, the grill patties from the Grilled chicken sandwiches were cold, old and salty, that was very dissappointing. I do not think I will go back for a while, I used to love the quality of the food there. The cashier told me that the grilled chicken sandwiches were called Club, but that is besides the point because quality of the grilled chiken patties was terrible. I hope this cleared any confusion from your part.
