Urban Kitchen is my new favorite. After I workout I get really hungry and my go to for healthy eating is Protein shake, Salad and end with an entrée which is a meat . Urban kitchen has the All you can eat ORGANIC salad bar withan addition of the smoked meats you can order as a side or a meal:Brisket- Tri-tip- Ribs - Chicken and all of it is so delicious. Needless to say so far I don't make it to the side meat that I order for the Salad is a huge one that consists of all the vegetation of Eves Garden which completely fills me up enough that I have lunch for the next day.Urban Kitchen, thank you for all you hospitality and wonderful customer serviceYou are my workout favorite !!

We came in for lunch after searching for organic restaurants. We have food allergies and found that the owner, chef and staff were very interested in our safety and enjoyment of the meal. I ordered the burger with bacon jam and could not hold back the "OMG" with the first bite. This grassfed burger was The Best burger I have had, anywhere including at home. My husband has the tri tip bbq and with custom secret sauce and he was equally impressed. The Cole slaw is awesome, with apple slices and prepared so fresh and crisp. We each had the garlic fries. My hips told me to stop eating them halfway through but my taste buds said "hell no". They have only been open for sit down service and I think the earlier reviews caught them at the beginning. I hope they all give a chance again. We will definitely return. Service and food are really great.

Nice blues band got some people up on the dance floor. The bartender was on his game and kept folks happy. The look and feel was out of a club in Chicago ?
The owner of this restaurant is a awful man.I went becouse of the rating of the food. I ordered the steak and a side salad. I was charged $8 for the side salad. I said to the lady it's $8 for side salad. He overheard me and must have been offended. He Then followed me to the salad bar and said to me I have been charging $8 for 5 months I said okay that is a lot. And began to make my salad. He said well we can just give you the money back I said no it's fine thank you have a good day God bless. He said no we're refusing service to you took the box out of my hand and told me he'd give me my money back. I said no it's okay I walked out. He followed me down to the hotel and in front of everyone in the lobby told me that I was disrespectful to him and I said okay have a good day God bless you he then told me that God had nothing to do with it. Then went on about his religion as a Catholic I started to cry he told me to never come back. Mine's you at this time we are now in the lobby of the hotel. Then he walked away. It was a completely embarrassing situation. I did not mean to offend him
Very clean and good ambient venue, full bar with a restaurant upstairs all inside the Red Lion Inn. Live music on the weekends. Great place to enjoy a night out!!
Went here with my girlfriend for a quick meal after going to the aquarium. Located at the Red Lion Inn the entrance was actually located around the back of the hotel & not the door on the 2nd floor of the hotel, which confused us & we thought it was closed. But we figured out it was actually around the back of the hotel entrance. Restaurant is “Fast Casual” a term I never heard before. She had the chicken taco salad & I had the fish tacos. We both loved our meals. That was THE BEST fish taco I’ve ever had!!!

My wife and I came to visit Monterey for the weekend and stayed at the red lion on our second night. The urban kitchen is located on site at the hotel. The owner/host Renee was gracious and friendly. He went out of his way with service. Also the food was delicious enjoyed the artichoke enchilada and seafood soup!! Definitely recommend staying at the red lion and eating at the Urb. kitchen
