Cute little coffee shop in Monterey right by the ocean. Coffee was great, cold brew just average and food items were very pricey.The vibe of the place is cozy and nice.Onky call out: they don't have a restroom.
If you in Monterey this is definitely worth a visit, we ate breakfast twice which stopping off in the area and on both occasion the place was excellent. The staff were welcoming, attentive and engaging. The coffee choice was very good, the bakery had an excellent choice of hot and cold options from muffins to breakfast sandwiches. Price wise very reasonable slightly dearer than a chain but larger portions and far better quality. Choice of indoor and outdoor seating ( sea views) all round great location with lovely produce and staff. Well used by locals which is always a good sign in my book.
(Disclaimer: this isn’t a coffee review) I stopped by Tidal to find a place to work remotely that was close to the water. I had already had my coffee for the day so I decided to pick up a breakfast Sandwich from here for brunch (10:00am). I waited in a long line, which I mean, it’s a coffee shop in the morning, so fairly normal. When I got to the counter I saw that the breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese, Canadian bacon on an English muffin was $12!!!! I was tempted to leave but thought what the heck, I was in line this long I might as well get it.The sandwich honestly wasn’t that good. They take it out of the fridge and reheat it but honestly a McDonald’s McMuffin is better. But $12!?!!? This sandwich must likely took a few bucks to make, and they are making BANK on up charging.
A cute coffee shop in the heart of Old Cannery Row! I really like the aesthetic of the indoor and outdoor seating here and the service is quite fast as well. I got the chai tea latte with oat milk and the only gripe I had with it was that it was less sweet than I thought and more spice which was a more off putting combo. Other than that, service was kind and fast!
Tidal was a Starbucks alternative, since we wanted to try something new. Oatmeal latte was excellent! The egg wrap was hot and delicious. The fruit was fresh. I recommend it.
Convenient location since we were staying in Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa. Good coffee and pastries. Giant cinnamon rolls!
Located at Cannery Row, this elegant cafe serves coffee at its basic level. The latte I ordered is one of the best I’ve tasted. They did an excellent on execution of the desired taste level of what a latte should taste. They also serve pastries. I tried the bearclaw and its not the average bearclaw you find and taste at donut shops or cafes. Their bearclaw has elevated the taste level better than the average bearclaws you find. Pastries are slightly pricey, but worth it. A truly must visit ☕️
We went here multiple times during our stay, and had a great experience every time. I usually like my coffee strong, but here I did not need an extra shot, so great coffee!
A little coffee shop in the complex of a luxury hotel, but with its own entrance. Cosy, good coffee, fairly priced and good cafe food options. Nice staff, too.
I got the pear Danish and it was very good. We got there around 9:30 am on a Wednesday and they were sold out of some pastries. I would say try to get there earlier if you are seeking a more popular item.
