The best workers, tasty burgers, awesome location. Every time I'm in Monterey I need to go here and every time it's amazing. I can't speak higher of the workers either.Their default cheeseburger is what an in-n-out burger wishes it was. Everything always tastes so fresh.
This place exceeded my expectations, the burger is just amazing. I had the beast and it is truly a beast, 2 half pound patties with eggs, mushrooms and cheese.The staff was incredibly friendly and kind. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Monterey.
Being vegetarian, sometimes it's hard to find a nice place for a good, juicy, meat-free burger. At Sur Burger they offer 3 amazing options. I tried the impossible burger and I must say it was just like meat! Even my non-vegetarian friend who tried it said the same.All the ingredients tasted amazing and fresh. And the fries were delicious too! Big portions.The service was great, very friendly staff. I would recommend!
My partner & I wanted a yummy burger in the Monterey area where we were visiting & wow I’m so happy we chose this place! The service was PHENOMENAL! Probably the best service I’ve received out of all the food places we have ate over the multiple trips to Monterey / Santa Cruz area! The food was amazing. Garlic fries were so tasty (Crispy with great flavor) the Diet Coke was sooo yummy! The best I’ve had in awhile (lol) and the burger… oh my gosh! Amazing!! High quality. The waitress was so sweet, the guy taking orders (a older Asian individual) was super sweet and told us how to order & gave us menus to sit down & decide since we have never been! We went close to closing & the food was still amazing. They were cleaning up & told us no rush, to stay as long as we wanted! The restaurant itself was super clean & loved the vibe. Highly recommend this hidden gem. What really will make us go again is the high quality service we received !!
The burgers were good as well as the fries! Very kind staff. My husband got the burger with pineapples on it. It says on the menu they grill them, but they didn't look/taste grilled. Not the best we've ever had, but certainly yummy and we would go back again!
Got the Sur Bacon Cheeseburger and it was the bomb! Super juicy, sauce was great, veggies were fresh and they grilled the onions! Also have other things on the menu, definitely a cool play for lunch/dinner.
Great local burger joint. Super friendly staff. Great menu. Relaxed atmosphere. Very clean. Conveniently located right downtown walking distance to everything. The food is fresh and expertly prepared. Today was my first time eating at Sur Burger and I'll definitely be back. My boys and my wife have eaten there several times and highly recommended it so I went today for a lunch meeting for work and thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
m not sure why everybody doesn’t eat all of their hamburgers here. I had the works cheeseburger and it was probably the best cheeseburger I’ve had in years. We also had the fish and chips and my son had a regular Sur cheeseburger. We added avocado and it was fresh and great quality. This will probably end up our family‘s favorite late night burger spot. Thank you Chef and awesomely sweet waitress. Superb service and food!

I really want to like this place but the food was sort of ho-hum. My daughter ordered a burger and it was under cooked and chewy.The chicken sandwich my wife and I shared was “ok” but it fell apart really easy and just didn’t taste that good.Much like everything in California, it was kind of pricey but I feel like the quality should match the price.
