One of the better pizza joints in the Monterey area. If this place was just to be rated off of pick up/dine in I would give it 4 stars. Pick up/ dine in is usually pretty good. Flavors are good and the crust has some snap when fresh. They don't skimp on toppings which is sometimes frustrating so it is something to keep in mind with the toppings you chose on normal vs light.Unfortunately this place gets docked a star for delivery. I make my own pizza's from scratch so I know the difference between a pizza that has cooled down vs one that is undercooked. Almost every delivery pizza I have had from here is under. I usually have to spend a decent amount of time to reheat these pizza's in my oven because I not only have to combat a pizza that is soggy from getting lukewarm but soggy from being under done as well.
We'd been to this mall about 10 years ago when we were in Monterey. We were just cruisin' around checking out the sights when lunchtime came around and decided to check out Pizza My Heart. Good choice! I had the Big Sur, my wife had the Figgy Piggy and my son had the Manresa and two other slices that he ate before I could get a picture of them! We all liked our choices and really liked the crust. It was somewhat thin but not like tortilla-thin. It still had some chew but not thick and overfilling like a lot of places. I'd happily go there again and recommend it to anyone that's in the area.
All this grease was from one slice... one of the vegetarians. In the trash..April 1,22 I will not be going back ... I'm local
We’ve been going to Pizza my heart for many years. Our first trip was when we were visiting Capitola and ordered slices from the stand there. Now that we eat vegetarian diet they have great options including vegan cheese. We can hardly tell the difference between that and a regular cheese pizza. They have a New York style pizza with big thin slices. On this trip we ordered a pepperoni pizza to bring back for our son. If you love New York style thin crust pizza, you will love pizza my heart. As a bonus, they have the Coca-Cola freestyle machine!
We got takeout several times during our recent stay in Monterey and every time it was perfect. The pesto pizza is amazing and the cinnamon roll dessert was a family favorite. We always try to make time for Pizza My Heart when we're in the Monterey area.

We arrived late in Monterey, so most of restaurants were closed. That was the reason we chose this pizza place, but our Four point was pretty good! I actually liked the crispy and crunchy crust.
Just came in for some pizza and the guy on the line greeted me, he was extremely helpful, demonstrated knowledge of the product and even asked if I wanted my slices (one vegan, one Big Sur) boxed separately.I've worked food service, even worked at a Pizza My Heart, and can recognize and respect good customer service. Dude was on it. Good job!
It wasn't the most delicious pizza I have had but it was good. The service was rapid and the place is cozy. I had 3 slices that I couldn't finish. I will certainly be back. Thank you.
Overall the pizza and the customer service were at a satisfactory level! However, I was mainly concerned over the fact that employees hardly wore hairnets or caps. I witness an employee’s blonde hair come in contact with the pizza dough and that made me loose some of my appetite. My cousin asked if the employee had any pesto pizza, and they replied “ I’ll check in the back”, however I think my cousin should have asked if they had any hairnets in the back, because I certainly didn’t see them wearing any in the front. Also, the ranch was pretty good.
