5. From the hotel the staff the surrounding grounds. The food was amazing. The Service was out of this world. Michael the executive chef wow his food was next level. The valet Kevin I believe his name was. Super helpful. Can’t wait to come back
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was large and well appointed, we were particularly impressed with how comfortable the bed was and the high quality bed linen. Excellent air conditioning, a beautiful bathroom and dressing table area, a large tv. The room was perfectly clean and housekeeping were excellent! We loved our stay and hope to return.
So I want to give a Huge Shout Out to the Best Staff at The Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa too Nikki Dodd/ Front Desk Manager and Allen Diamsay/ Valet Manager!! I had a bad situation with my car and they took care of it and went above and beyond too take care of me and made me feel valued as a guest at their hotel. I appreciate everything they did and they both deserve a pay raise and best of luck to their career path at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa. I will definitely be back soon! By far the Best Hotel hands down…. Thanks guys, Scott Vien.
Loved our stay at the Plaza it was a beautiful location close to everything, the accommodation and facilities were such a high standard and the service and staff were superb, I will definitely be booking myself back in here if I get the chance to visit Monterey again.
We just came back as a family from a fabulous stay for my husband’s birthday! I made reservations for dinner at Schooner’s in advance for some water views and got the corner table for spectacular views to watch Sea Otters play while watching the sunset! Silvia, the front desk agent who assisted us, found us a wonderful room with spectacular harbor views and even greeted us at check in with a bottle of local wine for my husband’s birthday! Rooms were impeccable clean, staff were all friendly and helpful! Not only was the entire hotel beautiful, spacious, and clean, but all the staffs courtesy, attentiveness, and attention to detail made for a wonderful and memorable experience! Both dinner and brunch at Schooners was delicious and service was impeccable! This is my family’s favorite hotel in all of Monterey and we will be back every year!
Outstanding service and attention to detail. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are comfortable. The staff is wonderful. The restaurants are the best. We highly recommended this establishment. It is the best on the peninsula. Great location. Adjacent to outstanding restaurants and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
As anything in California, this hotel is not exactly cheap, which is compensated by the proximity to the Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Road, and some top attractions like the 17 mile drive, Point Lobos, Carmel, and some others. The hotel room was a mix of traditional and contemporary, really nice, and the toiletries had a very nice orange smell. Hotel food and drinks were very good. I can stay here again
Stayed overnight. Valet and Front Desk were great. The hotel has everything we could ask for. Great Ocean Views, location, service. I would highly recommend trying out this property if you are looking for a memorable stay!
The hotel is in a great location and is lovely and well maintained. We have stayed here several times, and have found that the ocean view rooms are inconsistent, and many have partial views of the dining room or a roof as part of the balcony. The better ocean views are an extremely long walk from the main part of the hotel. Staff was not particularly helpful in finding a more appropriate room. Would probably try a different hotel in the future.
This was such a beautiful place to stay and explore the surrounding area. I was also celebrating my birthday and the staff made it a point to recognize that and ensure I felt special. We didn't want to leave. Everyone we came across was cheerful and professional. It was a super nice treat to be able to experience a stay at the Monterey Plaza. The hotel is magical, clean, awe-inspiring. The furnishings are elegant and the signature scent in the lobby had me buying a candle to take home my last day! The service is five star all around. Schooner's was the perfect breakfast spot with a view and the spa is gorgeous. Sitting on the balcony was a dream. I can't wait to return! Such a fun time!
