Just ordered lunch from here (quesabirria trio and nachos) and had the worst possible experience. It was quite busy, so after 20 minutes of waiting for our order, we didn’t get too annoyed. But 10 more minutes pass and people who came in way after us were getting their orders. We then decided to ask about the status of our order. The girl tried to give us a random order of only one item and say it was ours, after we told her what our actual order was, she said that they had “accidentally” given our order to someone else. They had our name and we were seated right next to the counter, so they literally had to walk past us and give our order to someone else. After they figured out their mistake, they said they would remake our order in 5 minutes. So, after over 40 minutes we finally had our 2 item to-go order. I just wonder why take our name down if you are just going to give a random person our order?? When we finally got back to our hotel to eat the food, my husband nachos consisted of 50% broken chip fragments. Extremely disappointed by the service and quality in this place.
Stop thinking and come eat here. My goodness, what fantastic food. I got the Mar y Tierra burrito with steak and shrimp, and my wife got the quessabirria plate. Free guac and cake on the house ♥️!Seriously, the food is very flavorful and well presented. I took my time eating because the flavor was several notches above your typical Mexican restaurant. You could tell everything is made in house with authentic home recipes. Just wow.
Got the Quesabirria Plate and was not disappointed. The Birria was flavorful and the whole meal was very filling. The owner, David, took our order and brought us our food. Throughout the meal he even brought us some guac on the house and a slice of amazing chocolate cake. I would highly recommend this place. Great environment and delicious food!
Choose this spot due to the great reviews, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Flavorful Birria soup with homemade tortillas that are amazing. They also have a diverse salsa bar! Definitely check this spot out if your in the area
Friendly staff great service. Food at a great price. Child changing table in bathroom ? Only down side is Small dinning area, tables to close.
Amazing Mexican food with diverse options for all diets - tastes were great, salsa bar was amazing, and beans & rice were on point. Vegetarian friends said these were the best Mexican options in Monterey. Service was great and staff was kind as well!ALSO THEY HAVE BENDY STRAWS

TODAY WE DISCOVERED THAT THIS ADORABLY SWEET STAFF HAPPENS TO ALSO BE INCREDIBLYGENEROUS!! THEY COMPLETELY SURPRISED US AND INSISTED ON NO CHARGE AFTER SPOTTING A MILITARY ID DURING CHECK OUT!!THAT WAS SO UNEXPECTED AND EXTREMELY MAGNANIMOUS OF YOU TO DO FOR US!- HUGE BONUS THAT THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD WE'VE EXPERIENCED WHILE IN MONTEREY!! WE HAD TACOS AND CHEESECAKE, BOTH TRULY EXCEPTIONAL!! WE CAN'T WAIT TO COME HERE AGAIN (AS PAYING CUSTOMERS THIS TIME)!!????????
It bums me out that I live in Minnesota and visited here on vacation because this place was SO GOOD. Simple menu, great food, great service, reasonable prices. I cannot recommend it enough.
