My mother, little sister and I came from Fresno 2 days ago to Monterey and went to the beach, we didn’t eat all day so we came here around 6pm and order burgers. Of course we ate all of our food because we definitely worked up appetite well when the waiter came to get our plates he said “ wow you guys ate all of it” .. which was very insulting to us and embarrassing. The food was decent and I liked the vibe until that uncalled for comment.
Quick service. You'll need a napkin. These burgers are drippy and delicious. Skip the honey mustard. It's too sugary for my taste. Power move: grab drinks and grub here before your movie.
Always enjoy this place. If you want your food fast and you want a lot of it, I'd recommend this place. Price wise it is pretty average. That is, not astounding or cheap. The servers and tenders are all pretty cool and charismatic. I'll end up there again in the near future.
This was the first time, since the pandemic began, that I have gone back to Islands. I have always enjoyed their food and service. That being said, not so much this time. We were are larger group but the restaurant wasn't busy. Service was slow and everyone in our group was almost done with their meals when the waitress asked oh what did you order? I will go have them make it now. My order came and wasn't the best. Not sure when I will go back.
Good place to stop and grab drinks at the mall before or after a movie. They have excellent mai tai's, and piña colada's. I'd recommend trying some of the more adventurous burger options as well, with more Hawaiian flavors as well.
Our favorite "go- to" for burgers!! Love the "Island" theme and vibe, love the variety of burgers on the menu. Plenty of other choices as well. Must add the "island reds" and the "applewood smoked bacon" Never disappointed! Best fries (in my opinion) of any restaurant I've ever been to. The generous number of flat screen TVs around the restaurant provide viewing from pretty much any seat. Never get tired of watching the surfing skateboarding, mountain biking, skiing, and snowboarding, (LOVE THE EXTREME SPORTS!!) or maybe a game.Manager Elijah is super friendly, treats us right, and keeps things running smoothly. Don't forget to finish off dinner with the spectacular KONA PIE!!!
Delicious burgers!!I ordered the Hulu Burger with sweet potato fries. The fries were a little to salty for my taste but other then that it was a tasty meal. My son got a grilled cheese and steamed veggies and ended up eating it at home.We were seated quickly and our table was sanitizing before we sat down. We did eat out on the patio area and it was very clean for being outside.
eat Food every time. The service was wonderful, even though the hostess was a little 'extra' and tried to go above and beyond for us as she was seating us a few steps away. - she meant well and was friendly as can be... just a little too much for us (we were just sneaking in for an early dinner after a looooong day, so it was probably just my mentality, not her!)Their burgers and fries are always tasty! The salads are full entree size, thank goodness. The house/well vodka is rough as hell, so I don't recommend it for a martini, but their margaritas are superb! -- as always, we had a good dinner and went home with full bellies and leftovers for after the margarita buzz wore off :)

portion sizes are huge so it's definitely well worth the price. staff was friendly. fries could be improved
