Fun discovery in Monterey away from Cannery row. Wide selection of foods. We had a lunch at their sidewalk table and watched the cars go by.
Amazing and well priced halal shawarmas and other foods. Well stocked store with a large variety of Middle Eastern and other foreign and domestic products. The owners and staff are all very kind, pleasant and helpful people. We stop here EVERY TIME we come to Monterey?

Love this market! I just visited again after moving back to the area and it seems as if the stock has greatly expanded. There is a wider variety of Arabic and Jordanian seasonings from what I recall. Family run and very friendly. If you love authentic Middle Eastern food take out, including lamb or vegetarian, this is one stop shopping and feel good about supporting a small, local business.
Not only can you get a great variety of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern groceries here, but then you discover the falafel wrap omg. So. Dang. Tasty. The family that runs the place are so friendly and take pride in their deli. I'm only a few blocks away, so I'm there at least once or twice a week. The lemon soup is perfect (as long as you get there before they sell out), smooth and bright and satisfying. Tourists would do well to check this place out. They aren't the typical overpriced mediocre restaurant you'll find out here, and that's why I love this place: it's never slammed with Aquarium visitors. Ha.
I only took a couple bites of my sister’s Gyro Wrap and I can’t stop thinking about it. Currently craving it at 2am trying to savor and remember the taste . I WILL BE BACK‼️?.
