Excellent cafe with great coffee, food and a lovely garden to sit in. Very friendly staff. One of the best. Would definitely recommend.
Love their cookies,Foods are delicious,drinks are okay. I have tried Alta drinks more than 5 times not the best drink for the price. Love the garden.
Outdoor seating near the garden is mind blowing specially for brunch. Avocado toast is totally for the gram. Coffee is good. Perfect place to work on some stuff or write while enjoying the food and soaking the sun. Loved it.There’s also restrooms for the outdoor area with restricted access. Staff is very friendly.
Don't let the line scare you, it's usually out the door, but well worth the wait. I loved their late, croissant with ham and cheese and their avocado toast was pretty different and amazing as well (see picture). The breads looked awesome as well. I went there for breakfast both days that I was in Monterey. Great place.
Alta bakery is a must stop if you are in the Monterey area! We waited in line (not too long) and we ordered different pastries like the banana chocolate chip bread & zucchini bread. These were both very flavorful and moist. We got lattes and they were delicious. It was a pleasant place to enjoy our morning
croissants, cinnamon puff. Good coffee. Good service. one day we ate in , the next we carried out. Both times food was delicious. try to be there when they open at 7. By 8 am the line is out the door, although the line moves quickly

Everything's delicious!There's a lovely, spacious garden in the back, and lots of seating inside.The staff are really nice and knowledgeable about the items.
Great reviews for a reason. The salmon croissant nearly brought me to tears. The cinnamon roll cream cheese was so good I wanted to scream at all passerby that they must go get their own immediately. The mocha is like the breathe of life.
There's a long line outside this bakery, so get there early. I had a lovely avocado toast, and an earl grey mousse and a mocha. There's both indoor and outdoor dining, and the outdoor area is quite large.
