I have been here many times for many years but this last time we ordered the usual captain and when they brought it there was as much as food as they used to be served

Great service delicious food and a beautiful location!

We have eaten here so many times! Good fresh seafood, fantastic service. Will come back again and again.

The food was delicious. The service was great. The outdoor patio has a water view. It was a great place to have a family meal.

Not busy on a Sunday, calamari was awesome as well as the fish and chips. Fat Lip Amber was smooth and refreshing. The crab sandwich was good and had a tartness to it.

Best family friendly experience in all of Monterey. With Monterey wharf restaurants being nationally known to be stuffy, Abolonetti was refreshing. Food, service & views can't be beat. Loved so much we went back today for lunch after dinner the night before. Thank u!

The location was nice, right on Old Fisherman’s Wharf. The food was ok, not great. There were four of us and three ordered the Captain’s Platter. All said it was way too much calamari and not enough fish (one medium piece) or shrimp (a few pieces). Definitely not a good variety. I went with the Jumbo Shrimp & Chips. The shrimp was extremely greasy and tough with little flavor.

Attentive service in a patio atmosphere. Dog friendly. Good variety on the Local’s Menu and good value too.

It’s the second time we’ve been here and last time we were seated at the back patio (the one outside the normal outdoor seating), right by the water so we came here again. It’s probably not a wise choice. The good:The food was okay. Oyster Rockefeller was a bit pricy and they are covered with a yellowish cheese which could be special. The not so good:A waiter dropped the glass behind me and it shattered right beside my seat. They asked if I was okay and then just disappeared. I would expect someone just to say some apologies. The glass that are used to serve water is also interesting. It has a rim in the middle so even if the glass is empty, it looks half full. So the waiter/waitress checking on you won’t notice and won’t refill your water. So no more water refills until we asked when checked out.The waitress brought our check without us asking and we hadn’t finished our food. They’ve came to us several times while we were still eating, just to check if we have put the card into the payment folder. It’s a bit surprising as it was around 1pm and there were several empty tables around.Tips: the waitress insisted to hold the mobile chekcout kiosk while I was swiping my card and therefore standing by my side looking at me choosing the tip. I was kind of pressured to choose the 18% tip which is the minimum of the 3 default values. Also, I asked if we could be seated in the patio by the water and they said they don’t have it. I don’t know if the small patio by the water (the one outside the normal patio) is still there or maybe I just didn’t see any waiter going to that direction.Note: pics were from the previous visit.

Wait: went on a Saturday ~1 ish. Had to wait ~20-30 minutes to be seated indoor bc it was super windyService: Kinda slow bc it was so busy but our waitress was definitely as kind and attentive as she couldFood: The lobster ravioli was absolutely delicious! Had almost everyone at our table digging into it, would get it again. Great textures but the creamy pesto sauce was the star of the dish! Only thing I didn’t enjoy was that the prawns were too saltyThe crab and Angel hair pasta was a miss. Didn’t enjoy the almost broth-like white wine sauce. Idk why I was expecting more of a cream sauce with wine? But way too liquid soupy for what I like for my pastasNot in pictures: the 2 kids got the corn dog and burgers with fries. They enjoyed it and the fries were good( slightly crunchy but soft)Fairly good portion sizes for the pricePresentation: beautiful presentation for all the foodCleanliness: everything seemed clean and I like that the tables are fairly spread out. Didn’t use their restroom so cannot comment on thatOverall, good experience. Glad we happen to choose this place to eat on the wharf!
