I’ve been coming here ever since I was a child with my family. I lived in OC and now out of state. I haven’t been since 2018, I stopped by for supper and it’s better than ever!! More noodles and bigger portions. So glad to see it not disappear and thrive over the years!!
The food looked like Yunnan food, the color, the style, the way of preparing, but the taste was too plain. No layers of the flavor, just simple and flat. The dining hall was dark and looked dirty and old. Not a good experience there Not worth to visit again.
I’ve only ever gotten the yam noodles but I love them so much, huge portion of food and such a great vegetarian option.
They are renovating right now, but the food still tastes good. It's easy to eat vegan. Just tell them to not add meat to your dish. I'm talking about when you order a noodle, or vegetable dish. Also, all them to not use chicken bouillon. The food still tastes great without those 2 ingredients.
I ordered #18 Vegetable Noodles and it was not lacking in umami burst of flavor. Whoever said vegetables can’t be tasty? The Chinese really know how to make vegetables taste amazing ?!! This restaurant has incredible bursts of flavor and umami goodness. I ordered 9 different dishes (3 combo meals x 3 side entrees) and they were all outstanding!I can’t speak Mandarin and they kept talking to me in Chinese, but no worries! If you talk in English, they can speak English back to you so no probs!
My first time at this restaurant , I discovered this nice spot while my dad was at Garfield Medical Center, all employees are really nice and sweet , I 'll be back ....
Very authentic tasting food. Fried rice was amazing. Even had some for leftovers next day. Mapo tofu was great!
凉菜 is pretty good. Various selection and pretty tasty. It’s a little bit salty though, and I think they put too much MSG in them so you really get thirsty after eating there. Noodles are ok, not super tasty but not bad either.Would still put this place in my list due to their 凉菜
Today was the first time I visited since pandemic. I ordered 3 dishes. The taste was very very salty of 2 dishes. Another one wasn't good as well. The cold dish is same good as usual. The added the tips to the check which makes it no sense.
Price went up service not like before when they really fill up your box.
