Previously, I only come here once a year to buy pies for Thanksgiving dinner. And when I was in college, their frozen dinners were my favorite. Today, I finally had my first dine in experience here and this is officially one of my favorite spot! When I first walked into to the dinning area, I was impressed with their classic decor. I'm sure they were the original furniture and they don't look cheesy. We ordered $40 for two person deal. For $40, we get to pick 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 slices of pie. And, their portions were HUGE (and tasty, of course)! It took a bit longer than usual for the waitress to take our order (I believe there were only two waiters at that time). Once we placed the order, food came out fast and hot. We had to pack more than half of our entrees and two uneaten pies togo.
Great service at the bar and dining area. The pie selection is extensive with a great American menu to complement an over all pleasant experience.
great experience- service by Shawn was excellent! there were 8 in our group and he was on top of it all the way. food & appetizers were great but the pie, excellent as always. it was a great meal.
I enjoy going to Marie Callenders to pick up a banana cream pie, chocolate cream pie, or strawberry pie (when in season) for occasional treats. My family love these pies any time, but especially come Thanksgiving.
Overall it was alright, haven't been there since before Covid. Ate Pot Roast, it was Ok, was looking forward to a Chicken Breast plate but they didn't have it,... well MASHED POTATOES & CORN BREAD were good
My dad and I went out to eat because it was my birthday and we didn't get close to none of customer service. Not trying to make it a race thing but we are black and everyone else was being more service than us. We should have to come into a place and feel neglected by the WHOLE staff. My dad had to get up and ask for a box that we didn't even ask for, a server came up and ask us if we wanted one instead of asking if we need anything or if we needed refills. The servers would walk past us and we'd watch them serve other tables. Not to mention we didn't know who our server was. We won't be going back over there.
We went for dinner. I ordered the turkey croissant sandwich. Good, but bread was a little too crunchy. My husband ordered ribs. They were tough. He wasn’t happy with his order.
Usually, I get a pie or 2 to go, which are always good. The times I have dined there, I was happy with the quality of food and the service I received. I find the service to be consistently friendly.
They switch the home made style Marie's Meatloaf for a processed Meat meatloaf I loved the real meatloaf not a fan of this change but the service was good and so was the pie.
It was good but the chili was a little cold. They had to heat it up a bit more but other than that...it was good. The server was very nice and accommodating and she gave good service. It was not crowded at all and this was at 11:00 a m.They had sanitizer for the guests and they cleaned well.
