Staying in town from the bay and found this gem down the street. Busy little spot but service and food was great. Wish they had more sake selection and uni on the menu but overall great choice to stop by.
This spot was delicious!! I honestly didn’t know this place existed. We were greeted nicely and our server was very polite. The place is a little tight seating wise. The food taste delicious and so did my michelada lol I’m not sure if they have back parking I parked on the street. I was also told that sometimes there is a line to get in there. Luckily for us that was not the case. Awesome spot!
This place is not your traditional sushi restaurant. It has an happy hour vibe and serves modern heavy sauce rolls, ramen, and sashimi. Their portions are HUGE and price is unbeatable! Food came out fast and friendly staffs. Most of tables or booths are setup for 4 people, so it's not a great place for large group. You will also receive a free vanilla or green tea ice cream when you check-in on Yelp.Again, I wouldn't come here for traditional sashimi. But if you are hungry, this place will fill you up!
Okay this sushi place is great. Don't be fool by the hidden small location. The rolls are fresh and tasty. I ordered the CA roll and the Salmon skin roll. The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly.
I was definitely skeptical of the ramen here but I’m a believer now. It’s worth the wait. During lunch they have a great ramen combo deal that comes with a roll (California or spicy tuna) as a side and it’s such a good value. The broth is amazing.Their other menu items are also fresh and well done. Such a little gem in Monterey Park. It has easily become one of my favorite lunch spots

This place is absolutely incredible! The food here is absolutely delicious and tasty, the service here is really good and are really kind, and the place is really clean and welcoming! I would recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a good restaurant and is a big fan of sushi!!
We were a party of 5 and checked in to the waitlist; the hostess ask if we wanted to break into two separate tables, and I asked would we be sitting together and she said not sure; I said prefer to wait and she seemed annoyed ( what’s the use of have dinner with family if we are separated). Overall the food looked pretty impressive but for me too much sauce on most sushi dishes which really took away from the actual items order; the ramen had way too much bean sprouts ( more than noodles) and similar either grill salmon, waaay too much onions; only item was the salmon sashimi which was excellent; also the waiter was friendly and courteous…no issues there
The Salmon Sashimi and Hamachi Kama were good. The ramen was ok. The sushi rolls were smothered in heavy sauces--hard to see, let alone taste, the ingredients.They seem to strongly discourage parties of five or more, threatening long wait time, if you decline their offer to split the party.
My overall experience was lovely. The restaurant has a very organized system in being able to place a reservation and still wait in your car. The waitress was lovely and very attentive. Lastly, the food and drinks were amazing. We got various items off of the menu and everything was really good, especially their Ramen.
