Hadn’t been here for quite a while. I really enjoy dim sum but what I like about this place is you get exactly what you want. No waiting for a cart that may or may not have the item you are most interested in.You order off a menu and within minutes the dishes start coming out.Everything was tasty and hot!Can’t wait to come back!
There are many other better places for Dim Sum. The service wasn’t bad but the quality of food is seriously lacking the standards most would expect based on the menu prices. Try P P Pop, also in Monterey Park, much better food and experience.
It's been a couple years since I've came back. The weird thing was right when covid hit was the last time I was here. I didn't really care much for the place at the time. Sooo let's talk about now, the food was absolutely delish. We ordered a wide variety of dim sum so make sure you come w a table of 4 or more so you can taste everything... what we ordered Pork shu Mai 5/5 Scallop turnip bake 5/5 Steam bbq pork buns 5/5 Elite BBQ pork bun 5/5 Duck 5/5 flavor excellent but small portion Crispy roasted pork 5/5 also delish small portion Pan fried turnip cake 5/5 Deep fried stuffed meat dumpling 5/5 Gailan with oyster sauce 5/5 Overall if I go back I would omit the GAILAN (way over priced $17) DUCK (small portion) CRISPY ROASTED PORK (small portion)
Amazing food, fast service.We usually choose NBC seafood for our Dim Sum, but we decided to switch it up today.Man oh man am I glad we did!The bbq pork buns are delectable and the beef short rib is nothing short of delicious.Pork siu mai are generous portions- served HOT.Lo mai gai (lotus leaf rice wrap) are beautifully seasoned, but small portions.Great depth of flavor in all dishes. We will be back soon!
They have Dim Sum on weekday nights! Drove an hour across Los Angeles for this and it did not disappoint. Weekday evening menu has steamed dim sum items but no baked ones. There were still the staples like Har Gow (best I've had in Los Angeles), Siu Mai, Char Siu Bao (also best in LA; very fluffy and fresh), and steamed taro cake. Staff was so nice and brought us free mango pudding at the end of the meal. It was such a joy to have dim sum without the weekend crowd. Small cover charge but happy to help out after the difficulties of the pandemic.
As someone from the Midwest who got to learn about dim sum while here, I was pleased. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food and dining experience was great. I would happily return again.
Came here for dim sum and thought everything was pretty good. Service was surprisingly attentive which I appreciated. All the traditional dim sum classics, the dumpings, shumai etc were all very solid and well made. If you are hankering some dim sum, this is a solid option!
We had such a good experience at this place, the food was good and everything. Good atmosphere, good lighting, good dining. Unfortunately everything turned sour when the waitress asked for tips repetitively after us courteously denying that we wont be giving any tips. Afterwards, as we were walking out she blatantly told the other staff working there that we did not give any tips at all and all of them gave us a very despising look of shame, which was really unnecessary. She even argued with us and asked us why are we not giving any tips when we apologised saying we won’t be giving any tips to restaurant.
Eclectic place slightly up from busy roads. Fun choices made with fresh ingredients and large servings. Little gem found while in Alhambra for our brief stay...
Very good Chinese restaurant. This was the first restaurant I visited that has a temperature check for arriving customers. Very good Dim Sum. Very good other dishes. Extensive menu. I came with a friend who was originally from Hong Kong. With his guidance, we had an excellent selection of dishes, including the whole lobster, which was delicious but not for the unexperienced like me to order. Lots of tables and all were full with a waiting line outside. I highly recommend this place. Watch out for the busy times.
