GHETTO — and it doesn’t get any ghettoer than this. The chicken was as dry as their employee’s attitude. From employees to the managers, get ready to be disappointed. They basically served us old food. Their chicken was the super dry and they couldn’t give us a simple refund! We love Zankou, but just not this one! Stay away from this place and maybe just go to Pasadena or Anaheim.
Delicious food great service. Beef Shawarma plate is highly recommend . I did ask for whole wheat pita bread . The owner promised to bring it on next visit ?
Off the charts good schwarma chicken wraps (aka gyros). The rotisserie chicken is dang good too. Highly recommended!
Zankou chicken is the "chicken" when it comes to the category (Mediterranean), but a couple of locations fall a little short when it comes to deliver the quality and flavor we're used to, this location and the east Hollywood one (Little Armenia area). Don't get me wrong, food is still good, but not quite as good and it's noticable.
I am rating the cooks 5 stars. The food was good even though prices are high…. But when it comes to customer service…. Something tells me that the person that took my order is a manager or a owners …. Even if he is not …. A man , blond died hair …. Very rude and very sparkly . All the liquid paste in the plate was all over that plate and over the other 2 plates. He gave me 2 pitas only for 3 plates . It was not busy so he didn’t have any excuse. He rushed me on the phone he rushed me inside. For a $60 bill I expected more … horrible experience….
Yep, that is some good chicken. Came here for a work lunch. Boss recommended the chicken kebab and she was right! Super tender chicken, not dry, super flavorful! The hummus was good! Will come again!
They do not honor their online menu, tried ordering based on that and they said it was not for their location. Prices are definitely noticable so be careful when ordering.
Hello everyone.Zankou chicken is some amazing chicken. I recommend the half chicken combo. This place is popular, so get here early before lunch and dinner. There's plenty of parking outside, but spaces fill up quick. Staff is friendly, and will help explain menu items for first time visitors. This location sells Spanish style salsa (Picodegallo). Bring an appetite, portions are big. Thank you for reading my review. Please follow me on Google maps and check out the places I visit.
What can I say? I have a weak spot for Zankou. Every time I go to the doctor (down the street) and the pharmacy (also down the street) it's a necessity to stop by. I know it's not super flashy, high class Mediterranean food but it never fails to just taste good. Can't go wrong with the Chicken Tarna plate, highly recommend checking it out especially if you've never had Mediterranean before.
The food was delicious. I had chicken kabobs. The meat was juicy and tender with perfect seasoning. Humus and salad were fresh.A bit pricey though. It was worth it.
