A very casual Cantonese restaurant that looks like it was at one time a coffee shop. The waitress was very kind and helpful and the food was traditional Chinese that you might’ve had growing up as a kid. Pork fried rice was excellent, the chicken chop Suey was more like a chicken stirfry with vegetables but also good and the special barbecue pork spare ribs we’re good but may have had a little too much syrupy flavor to them. Great for families as the portions are huge and the restaurant is very casual. Enjoyed it.
I've driven by this place numerous times. It was time to check it out. I like to think that a good hot sour soup will be an indication of the flavors to come in subsequent dishes. The soup was not bad. I would have preferred fresh mushrooms over the canned stuff, but the soup was still tasty. The owners were very attentive and gave excellent service. The owner recommended I add the crispy noodles, they give at the start, to the soup. Excellent suggestion!. I also ordered the Canton lo mein. It was delicious. The shrimp were fresh and the chicken tender. What I really liked about this place was that the flavors were mild. They were not overpowering with vinegar and other condiments. Great mom and pop place! It was clean and service was quick. You can tell that the owners take great pride in their establishment. I definitely will return to try other items on the menu. Lunch would be a good time to come since they offer combination plates.
Funny how it seems that during the pandemic restaurant quality went down everywhere. And with no dining in people seemed to just let it slide. After all whose gonna get home eat and drive all the way back to send a dish back. And now it seems to be getting worse as the price of ingredients is rising so much. Seems canton city has chosen to use bottom of the barrel stuff for their orange chicken or should I more accurately call it "somewhat orange like dry chicken erasers." And I never thought anyone could mess up my favorite dish "Walnut Shrimp" enough to where I wouldn't want to eat it. I will never and I mean never be going back. Only reason they got 2 stars is cause my wife liked the egg rolls. But then again this is a woman who uses A-1 steak sauce like syrup on pancakes. Sorry babe.
Always great food & friendly service from Wendy. The hostess. A delightful staple at this location for over 20 years of being a happy customer...
It had been years since I've visited. Same tasty food. Quick and friendly service. This is not a fancy place, it's comfort food. I grew up a couple of blocks away.
Food can be a little bit fresher the shrimp were overly cooked other than that it was okay I won't be ordering shrimp anymore it's really not the same anymore the tea to drink and it's gotten expensive it's best to cook at home I wish them the best
first timers.. I've driving by this place several times finally we stopped. OMG glad we did ! beef chow fun is a must. shrimp fried rice is excellent ! Owners were super nice and restrooms were very clean , will definitely be back ????
Best around the area. The owner Betty is great.
Great Cantonese food. Love the food and service. Clean, fast and friendly atmosphere. Family style eats. Restrooms available to customers.
I order Chow mein but it’s too watery plus too much veggies and little noddle. Same as mushroom chicken. The whole Togo box filled with veggies. I only fine minimum 5 pieces of chicken. The food quality is bad.
