Had the omakase, it did not disappoint. Very good quality fish. Would come back.
Clearly the real sushi restaurant in Monrovia - excellent quality and attention to detail. Small and not cheap but if you’re looking for a good quality sushi dinner in Monrovia this is the place.
Initial ordering of drinks was quick, waiting for our food order was a very long wait. Other patrons received their orders while we waited, Even newer show ups were placed at their tables while we still waited for our food. McDonalds is much faster. Too long a wait, eat at a fast food place before coming here. Chefs are preparing take out orders before getting inside orders ready. A long wait, too long for the food.
The sushi is always excellent and extremely fresh. It is our go to sushi restaurant and they have outdoor seating so we feel very safe while we are enjoying an excellent meal
We dine at Sushi Nakata multiple times in a month. Sometimes twice to three times a week! It’s a intimate and fantastic sushi restaurant! The sushi is fresh with daily deliveries of seafood! The Christmas sushi boxes are so special! Pre-order it before they sell out!
I had a business guest pick the place and I was very pleased with the choice. I am very particular about sushi and this place hit all the right notes. A small unassuming redtaurant with great food. Highly recommended.
Fresh and delicious! Great local spot!
Wanted to really like this place but the service was really poor especially for a slow Tuesday evening with 2 servers working. The food was not enough to make up for it. Really expensive considering the very tiny portions, which may be redeemed by better service but overall just left us very disappointed all around to be honest. Enjoyed the flavor of the Lime Roll and wanted to return for the uni pasta but after our experience, not sure when that would be....Hope it improves but we probably won't return for a while to try it out again unfortunately. Maybe it's better as takeout?
Yes - I would say our top favorite Sushi restaurant in CA.
Stopped in to try this place out. The rolls were smaller than what I am used to at a sushi spot but I really enjoyed that. The rice does not over power the taste of everything else and you don't get full right away. I tried 4 different rolls, they were very delicious. I would come back to this location again. It is a bit on the pricey side but the flavor of the food makes up for it. Check it out, and enjoy. Make sure to check the pictures out.
