My experience over the last year has been with takeout only. Food quality is hit and miss with odds about 50/50 that you will either be delivered a wonderful meal or just leftovers from the day before-barely warmed to room temp.Since we are tired of gambling, will be our last order placed. Prices are at a level that makes these constant losses difficult to swallow.
The place is an excellent atmosphere and is clean inside. The food was just ok, not really tasty or fascinating…
The food was great and the staff that helped us were friendly and fast, so you are probably wondering why I gave them one star. Well the owner walks in and comes right over to our table and says to our 2 year old daughter that the 4 suger packets that she was playing with was not a toy............ You can always tell when someone has never really had to worked before and has been handed something like that place by his parents because he would risk his staff and use coming back over 5 cents of sugar packets. I still tipped 20% because the staff was nice but he was risking their tip. He must be so much fun to work for.
Appreciated them being open for the Memorial holiday. I felt like breakfast for dinner so I ordered the sausage omelette with grilled potatoes which was ok. It was kind of weird only getting one slice of rye toast and the potatoes appeared to be spread out to fill the plate. I'm accustomed to slightly larger portions for the price. Our server was not particularly friendly with us. She seemed sort of preoccupied. Perhaps it was due to working the holiday. All in all the best part of the meal was the company I kept.
The place was nice and quaint while we enjoyed a lunch consisting of chicken pot pie (that needed a little salt added to it but was pretty good without it) and some smoked salmon eggs Benedict which were very good. There was only one server but he was on top of things for the most part. Overall I think it was a nice little dinner, good atmosphere and food.
Very classic French styles restaurant. The salmon in the Citrus Salmon looked dry, but after taking a bite, it was actually quite good! The crème brûlée was so good that we had to order another one after finishing it.
Cool place and got to eat cool stuff like that chicken and waffles, those be bussin
So my wife and I went there Sunday, pretty sure it'll be our first and last time there. Its has got the be my most dissappointing meals of the year. It's like they went out of their way to make sure the food was absolutely dry! I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken seemed as if it was frozen, then they microwaved it, then fried it. And you could just tell cutting in to it how dry it was. Some how the waffle was dry as well. My wife's French toasts seemed like they were barely dipped In the egg mixture and looked more like regular toast. The fruit they put on them was discolored and looked old. And I think the by far the driest item they served us was the sausage! Oh lord without a doubt, those were microwaved! They were ridiculously dry! However the coffee was good. I am in no way blaming the staff, they were very friendly and attentive. It seemed like they were understaffed and overworked. Like for comparison mc Donald's breakfast platter was 10x better than the food we had. I am not exaggerating about anything I said. I wasn't going to write this review but I just couldn't let them get away with it.
The entrees that Mimi's does well, it does very well. Love their half roast chicken but confess it's really ordered to get their potatoes au gratin as a side. Their turkey dinner (the regular menu version) is one of the best of any chain restaurant (and also offers you a choice of delicious sides). Also, the breakfasts here are above average, particularly in the French-styled egg dishes.
First time here. Food ? and service was friendly and excellent. Will return again soon ?.
