Old school burger stop in Old Town!! Dunno why it took me so long to grab a bite here - but I’ve been missing out! They had the BEST chili cheese fries I’ve ever had! Almost everywhere puts way more chili than cheese but not JB’s!! They have the perfect ratio of chili to cheese and it’s so melty and yummy! We also tried the cheeseburger- excellent as well - a juicy, thick patty with plenty of cheese! I had it as it comes - with veggies and thousand island dressing. This is gonna get some complaints from the die hard fans, but I liked it better than In-and-Out!! My husband had a fish sandwich and he really liked it. Very ample fish with not too much breading. They have a large menu and their prices are fantastic- especially with all this inflation going on! I was very pleasantly surprised. You can order at the walk up window outside and take it to go. They have outside seating as well. But the inside was very cozy and super clean. I didn’t even know they had inside seating! We will definitely be back!
Great atmosphere. Bacon burger was great. I aslo had zucchini fries- delicious could have used a little seasoning.
Food was good. The staff was friendly and helpful even when during a rush. Adding this place to favorites list.
I have to be honest. I was a bit disappointed. I had the fish sandwich combo. I did appreciate a reusable plate instead of a styrofoam container.
Karen helped me practice my Espanol when I ordered breakfast at 8pm. Great prices! Friendly staff! Perfect burger joint food. The chicken burrito, and their chili cheese burger are spectacular as well. ?
Old school since 1973. I love these mom and pop establishments but this one was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered a chili cheese burger and large onion rings and my friend a tuna sandwich. Taking my first bite of the burger lacked any chili which maybe was brushed on and no big scoop of chili as you would receive at an Original Tommy's. The skinny onion rings were a bit over cooked and made us unhappy just eating them. There's room for improvement in making a top notch meal.
The food is not that good, twice I ordered fresh fries thereand both times they assured me the fries were fresh....... Not a chance! I don't go there anymore don't trust the service.
Love the location. Night time foot traffic was mellow. Egg sandwich is good. Recommend adding cheese.Nice spot
Really enjoying getting there Huevos rancheros ? with flour tortillas ? there breakfast is still a bargain. Limited seating and they do takeout . There breakfast burritos are great and filling yummy ?
I love JB’s. Excellent fries and burgers. Even when there is a large crowd waiting for their orders. staff is cordial and enthusiastic . Prices are also fair. I usually get a cheese burger and French fries. Never been disappointed. The restaurant and cooking areas are neat and clean. The best short order restaurant in Monrovia. Give them a try!
