This place is our go to sushi spot, amazing rolls always fresh with a large variety. My son loves his beef bento box and the always accommodate him on his order. Staff is very kind and helpful and the place is very clean.
It was one of the best sushi experiences in Modesto. Have to really pick what you know you'll like but at the same time you can choose something new. Great variety and taste. Very colorful. Our server didn't eat sushi though so asking about what she liked was a bit difficult, so she just recommended what was popular. It all worked out great.
I had high hopes for this place looking at the reviews. Unfortunately if you are going for the nigiri I do not recommend this place for anyone. The fish we got was very fishy tasting and very dry. Any sushi restaurant can make rolls but making sure your fish is fresh is another story. So in conclusion if you are looking for a place that serves you rolls (that hide the flavor of the actual fish with all the sauce they put) and fried food then you shouldn't have any issues eating here. Just hope you don't get sick like we did later that night...... Sadly we do not recommend this place or will be coming here ever again.
Went with a family and had some issues with one of our tables being really wobbly... The food was incredible but two young servers on shift that Sunday afternoon were strangely timid and indecisive about resolving issues relating to our comfort with the furniture weirdness. Might have just been an off day.

Never coming here again.I literally made a reservation for 9 people at 6:30I kept trying to ask when our table would be ready but all the hosts were ignoring me, about In hour in on waiting I just asked if we could get sitting at two different tables I heard some girl ( she is red head I don’t know their names cause they don’t wear name tags ) she told some other girl ask the manager cause shes gonna get mad. The other host comes back tells us her manager wouldn’t let us get sitting in two different tables that didn’t even need to be together I just have low blood sugar so I was getting dizzy and shaky. They didn’t sit us until 8pm I had push my bowling reservation to 9. Literally just ate and left. Won’t be coming here again. The manager needs to get better customer service the whole staff does!
I've been coming here for as long as I can remember and the past 2 times have been disappointing. The food is always good but the service is lousy. The girl kept forgetting everything we asked for including the tea bag for tea, Then the edamame next was the ramen soup and then we sat for 10 minutes after asking for our check. Then we flag her down and she says oh I thought you already paid. At that point I was ready to just get up an leave.
I have been coming to Osaka Sushi with my wife for about 10 years and I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal with them. My wife, who when I first met did not enjoy Japanese dishes, now fully enjoys them thanks to Osaka Sushi. There is something about the atmosphere, ambience, hustle and bustle and of course the smell of hot delicious food that makes you want to grab a seat. The dishes and drinks are always on the mark and quite frankly I have a very hard time not going to Osaka when someone asks about going out to grab Japanese food. Do yourself a favor if you haven't eaten here, and eat here, plan and simple.
Best Sushi in Modesto and surrounding areas. Always fresh and traditional.Ramen and other items are not the best, but decent.Sushi is a must try if you have found other restaurants lacking on their quality.
