My first time going here and it was very overwhelming. They have a small space where people stand and upon walking in and my toddler looking to the donut case, a man was already yelling about how he was in line and we shouldn't cut. I has to tell.him to relax. There's literally the smallest area to stand before ordering. There is no menu to look at while you're waiting so when the ladies are asking you what you want as soon as you walk in, it was very nerve-racking. Like, how am I supposed to know what I want as soon as I walk in? You can't use credit cards. Only cash or debit. I'm assuming so they don't have to pay fees. You're not given a moment to see all they have available to make a decision. I guess if I look up the menu beforehand if I decide to go again. We got fritters that were so greasy and hardly any flavor. I've never had a donut so greasy before. For the price, it was ok.
The flavors were amazing. The filling in the filled donuts was generous and delicious. I especially recommend the raspberry one. My other favorite one was the banana fritter. Service was courteous and prompt. Note: they do not accept credit cards, cash or debit cards only.

Hands down the best donut shop in Modesto, possibly the world. It has been a staple for Modestans for decades, and most likely decades to come. There's a reason people literally travel from hours away just to enjoy our beloved Mr. T's. If their years of service don't speak for themselves, your first bite sure will. When you step inside, it's like slipping into a relaxing robe at the end of a long day as you're greeted by a mouth-watering, deliciously-sweet smell and the warm temperature produced by the ovens. Open 24/7 for ALL to enjoy.One of the only places I am 100% okay with waiting in line for 10 or 15 minutes. How Dunkin Donuts across the street has stayed in business is beyond me--must be their coffee or breakfast sandwiches because you would have to be OUT OF YOUR MIND to choose Dunkin's cake donuts, made with hatred over Mr. T's yeast donuts, made with love.Most people have their "gold standard" by which they judge a donut shop, which is always their favorite--an apple fritter, a chocolate bear claw, some sort of jelly-filled, etc. However, the true way of judging a donut shop is by trying the classic, a glazed donut. It doesn't get any simpler than a glazed donut--no frills or crazy colors to make you think it's something extraordinary, which is why it's the perfect donut to choose as the benchmark. You are tasting the ingredients that they choose to make the food the serve you from. If your glazed donut tastes like trash, there's a good chance the rest of your product does as well because in its essence, a glazed donut is the foundation for all other donuts. And Mr. T's glazed donut is nothing short of spectacular, wonderful, AMAZING!

okay, so I love donuts. They're just good crap, you know. today while in Modesto I searched for the closest donut shop and happened upon mr. tees delicate Donuts. The name is perfect! These are the lightest, areas, non-greasy Donuts I have ever ever ever tried. :-)
