My Dad and I had dinner here this evening and was seated right away. Then we were immediately given our drinks and menus after sitting. After given a few minutes to review and decide from the wide selection, our order was taken. Once the order was put into the system we were brought back some of the most delicious cornbread and butter. Now, mind you this most pleasant dining experience has been provided by one person, Mr. Hayden. He greeted us at the front door with a clean uniform, welcoming smile and immediate seating, he then brought our drinks, took our order and everything else along the way, as well as bussed tables that the customers left after dining. He was a one man show that was not missing a step and had a genuine smile on his face all evening. He exchanged pleasant conversations with all his customers and he was even the bar tender. Kudos to this hard working gentleman.The chicken pot pie was of course and always had been DELICIOUS, with the most flaky and perfect crust. Of course again, Dad and I had to have pie to round out the meal and again, as always, never disappoints! Coconut Cream and Banana Cream are our favorites, but you can not make a wrong choice with the pies! Come get a great dinner and phenomenal cornbread as well as quality service from great human beings like Mr. Hayden. Stays safe and kind out here. We stumbled across this Marie Callender's when the restaurant we wanted was closed.We had fantastic service from Hayden. We (3) had Beef Stroganoff, Chicken Pot Pie and the open faced Turkey Sandwich with dressing and mashed potatoes.We shared and all the were absolutely delicious.Highly recommended.
Horrible service. just like most reviews waited for drinks over 20 30 mins just to order drinks .There was noone there. The waitress in bar clearly didnt want to help us. Walked to kitchen and never returned. The chicken strips and fries was digusting sent it back. Wasnt even sure about ordering that .we had to go to another place. What a waste of time Worst experience. NEVER AGAIN .They need john taffer lol tables were dirty can only imagine the kitchen
My first time being there and it is really Good. Would definitely go back. They have a variety of food, not just their famous pies. Would recommend if you haven't been.
We went in the late afternoon. They were not busy. The food was good. Shrimp tacos came with black beans. I asked if I could have an alternate item for the beans. Despite on a prior occasion being given a cup of soup for the black beans, I was told by the waitress there was nothing else I could have.
Awful. Does the manager owner read the comments. Yesterday my husband & I went to Marie Calenders his hamburger & fries were cold. My croissant turkey club had a dried up piece of bacon & a 1/2piece of tough turkey. Both of which I removed a salad with no dressing, the cup of potato cheese soup was warm but the cornbread was dry & cold. One waitress @ the noon hour.
We came in to the restaurant starving and could barely eat what they served us. I ordered their Thai salad which advertised as carrots and red cabbage but had neither of those ingredients. My husband said his food tasted like a frozen dinner with rotten vegetables. Unfortunately, no one came back to check on us and we had to go find someone to give us our bill. When I pointed out to them that I didn’t get what was described in the menu and barely touched any of it they offered to take $5 off of the bill. Years ago this was to be a nice place to go but now it’s bad service and worst food.
Burger dinner plate was very bland.The plate needed a little color. Not many fries were on any of three plates. The plant based burger was missing the Kale as mentioned in menue. Also the crunching "things" were wierd, they just fell out if burger.We each ordered a slice of pie. Waiter brought pies but never cleared plates from dinner. Only 3 tables were occupied so waiter was not overworked. Plates should have been cleared before he brought pies. Not impressed with meal or service.
Love going to Marie Callenders, been probably since in opened. This was the worst service and food I've ever had here. Very sad. Cold sausage, undercooked bacon, eggs over medium, so runny whites, I couldn't eat! Hashbrowns poorly cooked. Sat a minimum of 15 minutes waiting to place order, with no beverages. Had to ask to please place an order to the staff. Waited so long for the bill, my husband went up to the counter to request our bill and I went to the car. Really hoping it was a bad day for them or new people ?. They were very few customers in the restaurant at the time, hope this is not a new norm!!
This place I’m sorry to say has gone down hillThe food was awful everything tastes like it came out of the microwave the mashed potato’s were like White Play-Doh..my pie had a long hair in itMy lady got her slice of pie and it was cold.. it was an apple pie super cold! The waitress didn’t even ask if we wanted it hearted I’m never coming back after I almost eat some1s hair … The manager offered me a percentage off my bill…….. ? but she offered me a new slice 1st year I’m so hungry now
