We were 1st timers at Kimoto and were not disappointed! I usually have to take out an ingredient or alter the rolls a bit, bit there were several that were great as they came! My husband loved his as did our 10 yr old daughter. Also loved the assortment of Japanese beer. Highly satisfied, definitely recommend and we will be back!!
The good: Good portion, good miso soup, decent price The bad: -Sushi preparer (I can't in good conscience call them chefs) not wearing gloves and touching the food counter and their face, DURING A PANDEMIC. -Staff behind sushi bar tossing food at each other as they horse play -They charge hot tea, unlike EVERYOTHER sushi restaurant -Teriyaki chicken was raw in our meal -Servers touching food -Knives used by the sushi preparer was not cleaned after cutting one fish meat to cut a different fish (like all other sushi restaurant).
Average, but honestly disappointed. Paid about $20 for a mafia roll and it seemed like they skipped out on some higher priced ingredients I paid for. I did not eat any scallops, only 1 out of the like 8-10 pieces had a small chopped shrimp, instead of all the slices, and it was not topped with salmon, like advertised. The little bit of salmon they did have was very meager also. I honestly could have just bought an entire California roll, and sashimi and it would have come out cheaper and better...sighhhh
I had never been here before but had sushi at many other places and I can honestly say I won't go anywhere else again!! Delicious food and the service was amazing!! Great to be able to go out and have a great experience...try the Hotel California or the Firecracker!!! Will be back soon!!
Friendly staff. However, the sushi was just okay. The spider roll was really fishy for some reason, but my boyfriend really liked it. We also had another roll that did taste much better. I think it was the spicy tuna roll.
One of my girlfriends invited me to try this place she loves and now I can see why...we sat in the bar area where our waitress was so fun , upbeat and on point with the service...the food came out quickly and was so good..definitely going there again soon..my deep fried roll was bomb.com
Wonderful bday experience with my son! Warm sake was delicious and waitstaff were all nice! My compliments to the chefs who all prepared the food beautifully!
There's a good selection of sushi here and it was all pretty good. I had the tonkotsu ramen though which was a bit disappointing. Pretty average all in all.
Normally my favorite place for sushi and ramen however the consistency is not very good, every once in a while it's like they only have training employees. Tonight for example the sushi was cut so irregular half could not even be eaten properly, and was not packed right. Wish I could put 5 stars, usually everything is perfect. Check your orders before leaving. And one time I was charged 3 times for one meal, I called and the guy said he would refund the extra 2 charges but it never was.
