The food is absolutely delicious if you can afford to wait for it. Seriously, it’s about a 20-30 minute wait for food but I’m guessing it’s because it’s actually fresh.I am sorry the employees have to deal with so many Karen’s here.
Great food, quick service, friendly service is so-so. Salsa bar was open which makes me nervous. It's best to order ahead. Be careful, they hangup on their phone customers when busy.
Must be good so far only 3 stars as it took multiple calls and I’m on hold again. Either they are super good and busy with short staff or just horrible service and needs someone for phones. 3 calls to be clicked off now 4th call for my first time Togo.
Been going to this spot for years. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, doesn't matter it's all great. Atmosphere is busy but laid back and, they have a decent selection of beer. Better than most places that are similar.
I live in Ceres and was running errands on that side of Modesto. Was in the mood for some taco truck near where I live but then remembered I was near Jalapenos. They have to best Big Nachos! Carne Asada, beans, creme, queso fresco, mmmm. But when I walked in with my Gf, we saw someone had a Torta in front of them. It looked so amazing it made our mouths drool. So we decided to order on Torta (which was so huge cut in half) and the Big Nachos and just share. What a meal. Not only does this place serve great food, but generous portions. We ate at 230pm. And skipped dinner that day.
I go here regularly and order the Huge Burrito for $13.95. When they say huge they mean it, you can easily get two to three meals out of the burrito. Staff are always nice and keep the place clean. They have Coca Cola freestyle drink dispenser. Their salsas are all extremely good, and pretty spicy!
Great food, there are plenty of taquerias in Modesto, and I've eaten at a lot of them, but Jalapeños is one of my favorites. Friendly staff, clean, and the good is good. Pricing isn't bad for today's economy either.

Excellent food and good service too. Very clean ok n top of it. Best food I've tasted. Recommended to some other people to taste it. I come from the west by bus to eat maybe once or even every other day with my familia too. There are only maybe three to five other places I would eat. Specially your food.
