Move on. Breakfast. Tom's scrambled with chicken fried steak on biscuit with gravy, hash browns. Gravy so-so, not enough to cover much and waitstaff didn't return until we were done so I couldn't order more, so service downgraded. Hash browns were yuck, like cooked but not. Steak was yuck. Coffee was good. Won't return.
The experience was amazing. Great food and even more amazing service. Thank you to KATHEY for a lovely dining experience. SHE was truly a big part of this.

The restaurant was clean and we were seated promptly. The server delivered the drinks and food in a timely manner. The food was very good the ice teas were served in large jars and the hot coffee never ran out. The manager visited our table a few times. Overall it was a great experience.
The chicken fried steak was good .. eggs cooked exactly how I asked. The reason for 3 stars was the biscuits and gravy. First the biscuit was flavorless and the gravey was under seasoned and lacking something .. not 100% sure but it was probably thickened with a cornstarch slurry rather then a roux... The consistency of the gravy was great but I just wished it had more to it. The gravy was fine on the chicken fried steak because the friend steak added salt and crunch to the equation. I'm a chef and I realize that not every batch every day is perfect but if I tasted that beforehand, I wouldnt of sold it as is.. I'll give it another shot next time I'm in Modesto. But I really hope I'm not back in Modesto any time soon.
This is a new location, before they open it was the perkos restaurant. Is totally remodel, and the employee are very welcome and fast. The food taste like home made, and the portions are decent. We ask for a eggs bowl and avocado omelet + include hotcakes, French toast, bisque or toast. Is really a complete breakfast
