The food is good as always. If in doubt order the clam chowder. Just my opinion but this place has the best clam chowder in the area. What sets Galettos apart is the bartender. Sandra is the best. Always makes my wife her favorite drink even though it is not on the menu. This is our go to restaurant in Modesto.
heirloom salad is the best. the pork dish was arranged well and the arrangement even made it taste better.
Never had a bad experience at Galletto's. Food is top notch, service is personal and always friendly. Its great for special occasions but not too pricey to visit anytime of the year.
Although we were disappointed our Favorite waitress Joleen wasn't working our server Christopher took excellent care of us. Thank you Galletto's and Christopher.
We had a lovely dinner here before a show at the Gallo Center. Maybe we looked like out-of-towners, but our server asked if we were going to the concert and stayed very attentive to the timing of our meal to get us to the show on time. We had the grilled octopus appetizer, split the butter lettuce salad, and had the duck confit canneloni and saffron wild boar ragout bucatini. It was ALL excellent! Would happily come back any time we are in town.
As always, a great evening. Tasty food and attentive, but not overbearing service, a beautiful venue in their garden. Wonderful! Can't wait to return.
If you are a fan of Risotto, you have to visit Gallettos as they always offer a different version. I just had the Lobster Risotto with Calabrian Chile, and it was amazing!! Cal and his staff always do an amazing job!!!!
