Appearance of building inside and out didn't convey an expectation of quality food. Paid $25 for the 3 meat and 2 side combo. Asked for double serving of pork ribs and one serving of brisket. For sides I asked for double serving of mac and cheese.Portions - For my two servings of pork ribs, I had 3 individual spare rib bones (not sure how that math works). The portion of brisket was sufficient. Two servings of mac was good.Taste/quality - mac and cheese was good, tasty and creamy with a hint of spice. The taste of the pork ribs was good, texture was good, it was cooked properly. The brisket was served chopped/shredded and soaked with sauce. This isn't my personal preference but I get that there are different styles. Even though it was soaked in sauce, the meat itself was dry. For a place that specializes in smoked meat, and has a giant smoker in front pumping out smoke, the meat wasn't really that smoky.Overall - The ribs were the best part, but even that was really nothing special. For a meal with tax and tip that ended up being $30, it just wasn't worth it. Hope the best for them, but I won't be back.
Amazing! We were driving through town on our way home to AZ and decided to stop. Definitely worth the stop. Perfectly smoked BBQ and excellent customer service.
Mind blown been dying to try and today I had time. Ordered the combo plate two sides two meats my plate is empty staff was friendly and food came out hot and super fast beyond satisfied definitely a new return costumer ???
I've travelled all around this country including all over the south, and I've had a lot of barbeque. So glad I randomly stopped here on my way home from a trip, because I've never had better. I asked the guy at the front what the best side was, and he said "If we can't make it right, we don't put it on the menu." My family tried almost everything, and he was absolutely right. Every side and every meat we tried was among the best if not the best I've had. The service was super friendly as well. Fantastic spot.
SO good. Everything they do is on point, or off the charts. The greens are the best I've had. I've eaten bbq in New Orleans, Memphis, and through Mississippi, and this stands up to it--it is the real deal. Great service too.The prices were higher than on the menu, but it makes sense with the way the price of meat is rising.
Soulless Soul foodUsually an ancient restaurant sign is an indicator of great food inside… sadly, that was not the case tonight ? food tasted like it was made way in advance and reheated. Chicken was dry Like the Sahara desert, served in a styrofoam box ? I’m being very generous with four stars and assuming we caught them on an off night. Disappointed ?
Long wait and tough tri tip. The ribs and pulled pork were good(super tasty BBQ sauce)! We didn't care for the tri tip, mac&cheese (didn't taste homemade) and cornbread(dry and too much cinnamon) . The restaurant itself could use some cleaning and upgrades, it's very sad and uninviting. The pick up line was booming, so we had to wait to place an order to dine in. Nice staff, though!
The BBQ was great and I left extremely full. Their hottest spicy BBQ was hot but also tasted great which is hard to do.
Great service friendly good tri tip pork ribs are great also 4 different BBQ sauces to try also give samples all in all a great BBQ joint
I've been searching for decent barbeque for a while. I don't live close to Doc's, but I'll make the drive there, because the food is so good. This place isn't decent... it's amazing. You know how you grow up with food made a certain way, and you can just never find anything nearly as good? Their yams are as good as my grandmother's, and their potato salad is as good as my mom's.
