Italian Pizza

There was a strong musty/rotten smell that kept wafting past our table. I wish when we noticed it we would’ve just left. Received a drink with lipstick on the glass which also speaks to the cleanliness and lack of attention to detail. The Service and food were equal to a dingy diner but without the reasonable prices. Do not recommend. They also add a 3% charge on your bill for all credit card purchases. Not at all the experience or quality they market.

Always delicious ?! Everything on the menu is great!

Absolutely love this restaurant! The staff is super friendly and the food is excellent!

What happened to this place? I use to visit the original location way back, 7 or 8 years ago, and it was so much better. It used to be real Italian food, no breakfast and waffles, pancakes, etc. Can't even order whole pizzas anymore?? They were so good and I miss the Lasagna pizza we used to get. I'm guessing they changing owners, so sad.

Food was delicious! Service was a little slow and it wasn't presented clearly how our serving experience would be handled. It took a long time just to get our water and soda. The server was nice and the new location is really nice and clean.

Was a big fan and went to the Oakdale location a few times a month for over the last two years and was the best food and service around .. Last night 4 of us and 1 child went to the downtown location and was very disappointed. Made reservation for inside and when we got there was told it was a 45 min wait unless we wanted to sit outside because our reservation was never put down .. so we were sat out side .. waited 15 min before they came out to take our drink order .. about 15 min later they finally took our meal order . Salads came out pretty fast about 10 min later.. about 10-15 min later the wife's got there main course meals (ravioli and tortellini) . 15 min after that our hors d'oeuvres (stuffed mushrooms) came out .. 35 min later we still haven't got our other 3 meals but we see that everyone around us that came in after us (walk-ins with no reservations)have gotten there meals and pizzas. And we haven't seen our waitress in over 30 min. we finally stop another waitress and ask about the other 3 meals and said she would check for us.. she comes back 25 min later with our other 3 plates (1 stromboli & two slices of pizza).. I understand it was busy but waiting an hour after for the rest of our meal (45min after the wife's finished there's) was a bit much.. and the fact that all the guest around us got there orders before us tells me the totally forgot to make the rest of our order. Come on 2 slices of pizza and stromboli take almost an hr after the wife's get there food (an hr and 25 min to make).. this visit was the worst $100 spent..and the fact that our main waitress didn't ever return untill she brought the check was the worst service ever.. so much that I don't know what it would take to return anytime soon .( A loss of $325+ a month min. and regular customer probably don't mean much as they get alot of business). I don't know what happened this visit but very very disappointed

Our favorite restaurant in town, never had a bad experience here, always superb food, great service and atmosphere at both locations. We've had it delivered and the food is just as wonderful and the delivery man is incredible too!

Second time in a week . once lunch weekday, once dinner. Total different experience. I enjoyed my lunch selection so much I reordered for my dinner selection. Totally different . Suggest #1 Train your cooks to prepare and serve the dishes the same. Suggestion : #2 Have a dedicated Host/hostess and keep in touch with customers. We sat for 30 minutes with no contact and we had to get our own drinks . Mixed drinks had to be sent back. No help behind the bar. No bar waitress. The bartender (she) was overwhelmed with orders . Suggestion #3. I suggest hiring a " BARTENDER" who knows how to mix and prepare the drinks. Suggeston 4..Music ..started too EARLY and too LOUD.We couldn't hear ourselves talk with our friends, bar or dining area. A softer music during the evening meal should be considered. We want to support our local businesses, but this was not a pleasant evening. We wish success for this business ,but feel these items should be considered. Does the owner want to be a bar or a restaurant ?

Buyer Beware;I am a discerning consumer. I am also Italian American who comes from Sicilian family. And, I have had some lovely meals at this restaurant ( however style of food is different from the cooking of my family in Campo Bello). That said, I have enjoyed the food and have gone back many times. But, now will NOT return.I find that the wait staff are not trained well, do not follow through, and do not listen. The restaurant will loose business if they do not start to improve the way their people interact with guests. This happened tonight: I was being the guest of a friend, who has a budget that is allowing for billing errors. My friend is also a person who does not like to ask for the manager when there is a problem with the bill (she is embarrassed by doing this). I account for this that this person has never run her own business ( my family had Italian restaurants in CA) and she has never had to account for problems with billing. But, I have both run businesses and been responsible for solving problems. I have also had to train customer service staff including at one point in my career wait staff.Tonight there was a problem with my meal. A part of the meal came out of the kitchen burned/ browned and over cooked. I asked for the same item but because this particular item ( stuffed bell pepper) is pre made, the kitchen could not make one fresh. Instead, I asked just to be billed for the pasta which was the side dish and chose not to order anything else. The bill would be adjusted after the wait staff asked pricing. That was fair. I was pleased and was told that 8 dollars would be taken off the original menu price of $18:99. But here lies the next problem. When the bill showed up I was told the price now was around $24.00. I questioned the waiter on this. And, he said, oh, seems maybe you got an old menu. I said to him, this is really not right. I should be charged $18;99 - $8.00.He said oh I am sorry. Here lies the next problem: If he was trained properly he would have gone back to the owner and told him the issue, or just adjusted properly. Instead this waiter brushed off the issue. I told him I would not be returning. And, based on this experience, I can choose a variety of other restaurants in town to dine in when I am paying the bill.My friend was not pleased that I raised the question, and maybe the reader might say "I should of just kept my mouth quiet because I was a guest". Maybe but my thinking is...People today are on budgets. I choose this particular item because I was craving a stuffed pepper and thought how nice.. I don't have to cook. But I also choose it because it was a more fair price for my friend to pay than a more expensive item. I also chose at all times based on my own budget. And, I am not rich. I do not have a lot of money to spend on meals outside of buying my food for my home budget. And, I thought of this...What might I have done, if I choose that item with only 25:00 in my wallet. I would have been forced to NOT tip the waiter. And, I would feel ashamed and embarrassed. And, annoyed because the restaurant did not stand up to address the issue of giving me a outdated menu. This review is to tell the buyer to beware. Seems the owners and management have not attended to changing the pricing on the menus they hand out. Seems they are not concerned with COVID ( YES many people today may be going out for a first night out and might be unemployed and spoiling themselves for a night). The owners NEED to take in consideration that todays customers that are coming back with be price conscious.Tonight Chefs of New York have lost a good customer. Me.My friend has money in her pocket so she will return. But, I , an Italian will choose to go elsewhere.

great atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, fabulous food. Definitely an excellent place to dine for a bit of New York Italian faire.
