I've always loved bookies it is been one of my favorite places since I moved out to Modesto.. especially Wednesdays when there's karaoke it is packed to the max great atmosphere and a good variety of people.. always feel very loved
It's definitely the place, if you want to go out to drink and chill. Love their theme nights ?, I'd have to say my favorite was beer pong.

A very nice friendly place. Good food. Daily Drink specials. Excellent Bloody Mary's. Outdoor seating with wall tvs. Nice atmosphere. There is security there a certain times of night.
My husband, and I visited here for the first time last night. We had an outstanding time!! The security at the door was so friendly, and helpful. Also patient lol (he was talking to people when we walked up, I thought it was just a small group of people chatting at the door, didn’t realize we had to see him before entering, didn’t even realize it was security, and I went to open the other door to enter, just thought you walk in like most places lol. He was very patient, and nice when he told me I had to see him first) I felt so foolish because I didn’t even realize haha. He was really nice, and made us feel welcomed. The drinks, and shots were amazing, and all at a fair price! The bartenders were all so friendly, and attentive too. Even with it being so busy, we never had an empty glass! It was crowded, and everyone we came in contact with inside, was really nice, and fun. Loved the jukebox too, good music! We sat up at the bar, and really enjoyed ourselves. This is our new spot, and we will definitely be back! All the employees, servers, bartenders, security are so amazing, and friendly! The restaurant was clean, and neat, as were the restrooms. I feel like maybe I caught on the wrong day, but I wasn't impressed. The server was friendly and accommodating and the food was OK. However, what makes me give it two stars was the lack of cleanliness. The menu was moldy like it got wet at some time. When I mentioned it, the server just put it back. The salt shaker wasn't wiped before giving it to us. It was to the point that we were afraid to go to the bathroom. If you are looking for you friendly neighborhood dive bar, where you really go there to drink to the point where none of the above matters, then you won't be disappointed.
Everyone that works here is very friendly and the food is superb. My little guy is autistic and is always treated with kindness by the staff and owners ❤️
Service is great! Toni and Jenni are awesome. Different happy hour every day with cheap drinks. Good food and open late

Staff is so very friendly and amazing. the food is above and beyond Amazing!! The chef could cook and the most expensive restaurants.
