Sabatino's is an exemplary, hidden gem that provide's a wonderful family atmosphere. Sequestered within Olympiad plaza, in Mission Viejo is an elegant family owned bistro that entrances you with its exquisite food and incredible staff. I consider myself a tiramisu connoisseur; with that being stated, their tiramisu is exceptional. Save room for it to round your experience.
I want to say that I've been to Sabatino's before for takeout, and their food is really tasty. So naturally, was a go-to when I needed to order dinner for our kids and babysitter on a date night.Ubereats confirmed our order and the ETA. 30 minutes past the delivery window, our sitter reached out about the food.Turns our Sabatino's canceled our order without warning, reason, or communication. I've not had a restaurant yet with an issue or question about the order not reach out to discuss. In this case, Ubereats said they just canceled the order without further details. The order was for a cheese pizza and a salad, so nothing bizarre. Pretty unacceptable. We ordered from another pizza place nearby, and salvaged the night though dinner for them was an hour later. To me, this perhaps speaks to some management issues others have noted here. I'll revise this review if I hear back from the restaurant, but we'll be going elsewhere for pizza or Italian until then.
Fantastic food. Have eaten there twice with the family, and both times were wonderful.Good service, excellent food... everything I ever need from a restaurant .
We absolutely love this place. The owner and her two children always go 110%. Great food and a great atmosphere. You got to give them a try.
Very disappointed. Been there several times and thought I'd try once more. Veal was uncuttable, eggplant, which is only 4 small circle pieces was just ok.Don't think I'll be returning.
If everything goes well with your order than you will enjoy the food. If anything goes wrong with your order even if it happens multiple times don’t bother telling the owner because she literally couldn't care less if you spend your money at her business. She is unapologetic and incredibly rude. I’ll never be back.
Great food, nice staff. Lots of people getting take out. They missed the chicken out of the salad ? Short rib ravioli was great
I reserved a dinner table for 3 and was greeted cordially. The ambiance was greater than expected. Small white lights are strewn elegantly on support columns at the entry, Inside tables were garnished with mood candles, piano bar music filled the air, and the tables were large enough for larger people. While they used to use clath table clothes, Covid probably resulted in tables with no tablecloths, but the tables were very clean. The menu is what I consider more authentic Italian than you find today. The dinner meals were exceptional. They have an above average winelist for the oenophiles, with a few reds and whites from Napa Valley. No cocktails are served. The food we tried was their Mixed Green Salad, Shrimp Scampi, homemade Lasagne, Veal Marsala, and Tiramisu. For apperizers we tried Eggplant Crisps. The food was incomprable relative to other Mission Viejo Restaurants. We loved all aspects of our outing. I would recommend this restaurant to even the most discrimanating pallets. For being small, it's somewhat epicurean in presentation and results.
It's not a bad place to go. I think they could do better on the flavor of their food. It's kind of bland. It's been there several times and have the same taste. Bland.
Great food but whoever was working tonight was extremely rude to my husband, who just wanted to wait a few minutes for our food (takeaway) and maybe have a glass of wine. It wasn’t like you were busy. You insisted he wait outside on the sidewalk and told him he was “in the way”. Hardly! Disappointing. Might not return.
