Horrible experience seems like management doesn't know what they're doing. Food is bland, don't understand where all these 5 star reviews come from as they do a half decent job.I would recommend going across the street, way better spot! Maybe when this place is falling apart the owners will wake up.
Finally went to Morena's Mexican Cuisine and the food is amazing, the quality, portions and flavors are top notch. Truly delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. In addition it is very clean w amazing service. Heriberto is the best. He made the girls fried icecream. First time trying it. Really delicious. Great Food Great Service!!! David n Julie

The staff was welcoming and moved heaters to accommodate a meal on the patio during a chilly winter day. The salsa was spicy and flavorful - it alone is worth coming back for! Food was good and on par with a lot of the Mexican restaurants in the area. Overall, a good experience and would bring us back to try more.

Morena's Mexican Cuisine in Irvine, located in the corner of a strip mall, is homey, fun and lively.Outdoor seating, with colored flag garlands, garland lights and long wooden tables, makes for a welcoming, family friendly spot that makes you feel at home!!I had a taco Tuesday trio of two carne aside and a chicken taco that were flavorful, in hard-shell tacos, combined with fresh greens, a treat to the pallet!!!The staff is so kind here. Our server, Otavio, cracked jokes, and asked me, when I walked aside, if there was a birthday girl in our group - there was - and who she was, and they surprised my birthday friend with creme brulee and cake singing happy birthday!!A homey, happy, spot :)
I understand where we live but good lord is it overpriced. If you are going to charge what you do please improve the quality.
Great food. Menudo and pozole are the best.
