Thought it started off okay. We were a group of three and relatively of darker skin (we're hispanic). We had a nice attendant at first, which got switched to another. She was also nice, but the server, didn't get her name, didn't give us napkins until we asked after we finished eating and even then gave us what seemed like paper towels from the bathroom (two of us had gone to the bathroom earlier. For comparison, one of our group members noticed she gave another large group of (lighter skinned/seemingly white) adolescents at the table right next to us normal napkins right when they got served and was very attentive to other tables (including the one above). We were going to brush it off, but at looking at the bill, she failed to mention the details of the Taco Tuesday combo (drinks were not a part of it, but charged separate) and charged us a large tip, essentially 8% (7.75%) for basically discrimantory and neglecting service :/ without asking us about it. We had to wait a long while to get our bill too...Hoping it was just that blonde server; we were seated outside right by a large plant, which blocked our view of the lake/scenery as well, so couldn't enjoy that.Another tip: the paper plates didn't help immerse ourselves into the experience.

Celebrated a special occasion with Sunday Champagne Brunch. Our 1st experience was great. Relaxing view of the lake, tasty food and our waitress was friendly and attentive. At 10:30am, when we arrived, there was plenty of tables and we're seated right away. We would definitely return to repeat this brunch experience for a future special occasion.

Discovered this restaurant during the depths of the pandemic. I had them door-dashed when the restaurants were all shut down. I had ordered the Chile Verde plate and the meat was extremely moist and the sauce was really flavorful, even for having been delivered. I thought if it was this delicious delivered, I wonder how good it would be at the restaurant? I absolutely loved all the food and was eager to try them fresh once restaurants opened up again. My husband and I finally got around to eating at the restaurant and it was even better fresh! The guacamole was freshly made and so good. The rice was perfectly seasoned and fluffy. The meat was extremely tender, moist, and well seasoned.

Beautiful setting - not so friendly staff the day we went - Cinco De Mayo - I have gone to what is this location for over 28 years but it has been over 6 months since I have been here . I decided to take my mom out for a Bloody Mary and myself for what else a Margarita- the bartender helped us but was not friendly that day , possibly due to him having to help us and make drinks , ok I get it . He made my moms B- Mary it was so dark and the amount of pepper on the bottom was as if he spilled the Bottle on it - ok send it back. It’s a Mexican restaurant, get a Margarita, she did and it was delicious- she was happy , now if only he he could crack a smile or just be nice. The rest of the staff was running around as if it was really busy but it wasn’t yet, it was 4:30 by the time we left - I’m sure they had a full house later that evening .As fit atmosphere it’s 100, I love it . The view of Mission Viejo lake is breath taking - you have indoor outdoor seating - they offer different levels in the restaurant, the lowest has little huts down the stairs best Lake view , then higher up were we sat , great view next to bar and restaurant, walker - wheel chair friendly , They have the big bar inside , still open air , an indoor restaurant area for parties , this place is amazing . Taco Tuesday is the best - I have to come back for this soon .You must check it out you won’t be sorry . Hopefully the bartender was just tired that day .

This is the place to go if you want a nice view and atmosphere. Dined here recently with a group for the Mother's Day brunch 2022. Some of the meal entrees we enjoyed were Carnitas and Spinach and Mushroom omelette. The food and service was good on this busy Sunday early afternoon. My entree with a glass of Champagne came to $29, pre tax & tip.

Food is getting better but some staff needs to be taught the basics.. cocktail napkin under the cocktail. Let the customer be seated before the server is asking for a drink order. The bar area is small send the entertainment people out side. A Mexican restaurant has an guitar player who sings Cat Stevens and Dylan??? Loud and off key how about nice music, good food and drinks

quality service, quality food, & a lovely location right on the lake. the watermelon margaritas were incredible too! I’ll definitely be returning asap

I've been here twice, both times for the view. The first time I was told there was no seating by the water, as they then seated others by the water. i got the champagne brunch. The (skirt/flank??) steak was terrible. So gristly I spat out 2/3 of it. I tried to overlook it, because skirt/flank steak tends to be that way, but it was like meat-flavored chewing gum. The beans are like cold canned large light-colored beans. The potatoes were good. I like that they accidentally brought me a third glass of champagne. I remember the waitress was a little snotty. I went again today to give them a second chance. I ordered a $9 split of champagne, which was billed to me as $10 and not adjusted after I pointed it out. The hostess was VERY nice and seated me by the water as I asked. The waiter was VERY nice, incredibly obliging and attentive; however, it took a long time to get my champagne, probably because the glass had to be washed and was brought to me wet. I had to dry it off with a paper napkin. I ordered the taquitos. I thought I asked for 2 beef and one chicken but received the inverse. That might have been my mistake. I didn't eat the chicken taquitos, because the chicken, although generously portioned was BLAND and DRY. I couldn't enjoy the view of the lake, because the slightly too loud Mexican music, meant to add to the ambiance, was some of the most obnoxious Mexican music I've ever heard. I can only think they play it purposely to keep people from dawdling so they can turn over the tables to make more money from tourists. The outside of the restaurant isn't filthy, but I wouldn't call it clean. either. All in all, I would have overlooked everything if the food had been good. I would only ever go back to get a cocktail and look at the lake.

What a great view to be right on the lake. Food was great and staff was friendly, not pushy and took care of us very well. Food was great.

Excellent service and an amazing view of the lake. This is one of our favorites.
