I paid 11 bucks i think for 3 bagels. The Brazilian girl didn't want to tell me about buying a dozen for a few more bucks. After I realized it, i told her I'd pay a few more bucks to get the other bagels and she said something along the lines of "sorry, we already rang it up and can't do that since they're being toasted already".... What kind of service is that? Very short term thinking so I'll never return there again. I could have made a big fuss and told her it's just a matter of processing some buttons on her register but that's not worth the few dollars in difference. Rather, I'm posting this to give you heads up and am disappointed in their snake like servicing
Grab your favorite bagel from the varieties they have, the cranberries bagel was so tasty and fresh, made from scratch as you can see in the picture, scrambled eggs with buttered toast tasted nice and fresh, the eggs tasted like real eggs not like most restaurants, cookies and cream frappe was so good, highly recommended to try it
We have been coming here for almost 23 years. Always great food and super friendly staff. Just be patient these days because it will take a little longer than it used to. Try the wipeout.
The food was great but they got our order wrong twice. The bagels are top notch!
I would have given this place five stars because I love the selection of drinks and pastries and ice cream and bagels as well as the beautiful outside covered comfortable tables. Unfortunately I didn't really get a chance to try it because after placing my order I found they do not accept any form of electronic payment. So I had to cancel my order and walk away. All I had on me was my digital credit card on my phone and my Google Pay app on my watch. But it's increasingly rare these days to go to an active business that does not accept these. Bagels and Brew needs to get with it.
A staple of the south Orange County area for give or take twenty years, Bagels and Brew has a mostly-winning formula. Although this review is based mostly on breakfast offerings, they have attentive staff who are accommodating. When ordering, be specific with what you want. Maybe overly specific. For example, you want a bagel toasted and buttered? Say so. They don’t come buttered unless you request it. A bagel once-toasted hardly seems so; Get it twice-toasted. As a general rule of thumb, be wary of deviating from a core 4 or 5 meals you order here. Find something you like, and continue to get it. They say a menu with too many options is a red flag; B&B doesn’t fall into that category necessarily, but I rarely order anything that isn’t the Sunrise Supreme, Saddleback Scramble, or Quinoa and Egg Bowl, add turkey sausage. Stick to your initial favorites and B&B won’t steer you wrong.
Don't get their Reuben. Everything from bread to sauerkraut, to sauce doesn't taste authentic whatsoever. If I did the blind tasting, I would have never known I'm eating a Reuben.Their salad on the other hand I can vouch for. Artichoke chicken salad and the Greek chicken ones were excellent. Fresh and large portion that can be split between 2 people easily. My boyfriend likes their scrambles, but I haven't had those yet.Service is good. It's a solid 4 star bagel shop in my opinion.
They pretty much have it right. Been going there for some years. Great staff, great food, great prices, great atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.
Best bagels in OC. Done to perfection
A popular place on Saturday. Friendly staff. Good bagels.
