Cash only.I like the food here, probably the best rice pot in South Bay Area. But the service and environment need improvement.
So good. Crispy rice. Reminds me of back in the days in SF Chinatown. Glad this place opened up here. Ultimate comfort food.
Went in and they have a large menu. I went with number 2 which is the chicken and mushroom. They told me that they don't take card, either cash or Venmo. After payment, they said that it will take 15 minutes to cookAfter waiting for 15 minutes, got the food and went outside. (pandemic still so there is no indoor dining.) The good was very hot when i opened it. It tasted okay. It came with a packet of soy sauce. Nothing too special about it. Just soy sauce it looks like. Overall. It's okay. Nothing too special. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. Will try again in the future.
I ordered a half & half while I told the waitress in I wanted preserved meat and pork rib. They gave me a pork rib and chicken. They were not willing to redo another one as what I have ordered. Also, while they have menu all in Chinese. The lady who served me acted like she don’t know a Chinese word. Overall, very disappointed experience :(
My favorite authentic pot rice place in Bay Area. Clean and easy order via phone. Excellent food and service. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Got off an flight from Seattle and we were looking for a place to eat. This was the only restaurant that was open, the food took a while, but the dish was pleasant. However, very disappointed with the presentation as well as the quality of the vegetables in the dish. (Lots of rice and meat but only two strips of vegetable) this place is Cash only, but they do accept Venmo. Overall, it was a place to check out and definitely try there meat dishes, but don’t be expecting much vegetables.
It was take-out only when I last visited in Oct 2021. Their preserved meats are amazing, but quantity is a little lacking. It feels like the bowl is 80% rice. At least the edges are slightly burnt and crispy. I wish they used a little more sticky rice and cooked the sweet soy sauce into the rice instead of providing a small packet of sauce to be added in when you eat.
Got the Pork Ribs Rice. The meat was a little bit rough but I enjoyed the crispy rice.
Ordered two rice bows but waited more than 30 minutes in store and still missed one bow. Negative scores for service. It's tasty though. Recommend to go if you don't mind waiting time and the possibility of missing order.
We ordered the shrimp bowl ($13), the chicken bowl ($12) and a side of stewed pigeon ($9). Waited for 25 freaking min for the food. Then all I got was a rice bowl of 10 shrimp (clearly frozen shrimp, does not taste fresh at all), a few tasteless pieces of chicken, and a small bowl of pigeon soup with ONLY BONES inside. It’s ridiculous. If you ever wonder why there’s no one in here, it’s cause they truly suck. Wouldn’t be surprised if they go out of business soon.
