Call about an hour in advance for the roasted Beijing duck.Very friendly staffs with good atmosphere.Northern China dishes are huge!! 管饱They also sell the Beijing sauce for noodles. In the fridge near the entrance.
Tasty mandarin north style dishes and hot pot. Quantity is good and I’m was amazed with the size. I’d say pretty authentic and if you are exploring traditional Chinese dishes, I would recommend. They also are famous for the hot pot. However environment and vibes are just okay
Terrible service yet they expect $18% tips from a party of 5 and above. Tips are earned. When you have no manner and respect towards customers, what makes you deserve tips, especially the forced tips pre-charged on receipt without your consent? That's a tyrannical way of ripoff. Confronted the waitress who never showed an ounce of appreciation and friendly service during our entire meal, for the outrageous charge of tips. She agreed to cancel the receipt and let me decide what I want to pay for tips. Based on her sub-par customer service performance, I gave much less with my reason. All done in a calm demeanor. Btw, the Beijing roasted mutton is a whopping $26 for a very small portion. Not recommend this restaurant to anyone who values real customer service and a free will in tipping.
Authentic, great taste indeed. Order ahead for Beijing duck.
good service and some traditional peking food, really want to check the Peking duck next time
We take it home. We go to the store one day in advance to make a reservation and pick it up the next afternoon. The waiter was very enthusiastic and told me how to go home and heat it. The packed paper bag is very strong, and the food is well placed. I have been driving for about an hour without spilling. I went home and baked it in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for five minutes. The duck skin was black and hot, but the duck skin was still not crisp. It doesn't taste very good. I think we still have to go to the dining hall once. I believe it will taste good.
Best Peking duck in the whole Bay Area. They used to bring the duck out to show the skinning process but this has gone away due to pandemic restrictions. Nevertheless, their Peking duck is still as good as before.
Good ambiance, decent food, and good service. The lady who served our table was friendly and helpful. When we ordered too many soup dishes she would suggest we switch some to balance out the meal; when we ordered too many she warned us so we wouldn’t waste money even though it’s against her self interest, tips being percentage based and all (18% automatically calculated).Let’s be honest, you’re here for the Peking duck. Remember to reserve ahead of time, and let them know when you’ll arrive, since they really care about carving the duck fresh for consumption, it shows pride on their work. I will say the 煎饼果子 needs improvement, lacked sauce and crunch, but I had no complaints with the food otherwise.Be prepared to spend a good bit when you’re here for the first time, the duck is pricy but it’s a specialty and worth a try.

I ordered bbq lamb three days ago but no one contacted me that this dish was out of stock until I picked up my order today. The fried liver was too dry to chew. I don’t wanna comment on the taste. But the prices indeed exceed what they really worth!!!!! The lamb soup tasted like the bones’ already give bad! Anyway, it’s my first time and last time to try this restaurant, tho!
